Go Birds52 Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Final week of the regular season is here. Some teams have clinched playoff spots while others come down to this week. Playoff seedings are still up to be determined also. Tonight starts a DH of football between the Chiefs-Broncos and Cowboys-Eagles. If Tennessee loses or ties, Kansas City will move back into the No. 1 seed in the conference. If both teams lose, they could open the door for the Bengals to possibly sneak into the No. 1 seed. Basically a Chiefs win and Titans loss gives the Chiefs the 1 seed. All games this week are between divisional opponents. The Vikings play the Bears in Minnesota. The Vikings have won 2 of the last 3 games against Chicago. Titans face the Texans with the 1 seed on the line. A Titans win and they have the 1 seed and home field throughout the playoffs. Another game where playoffs are on the line and both teams need help are the Steelers and Ravens. The Steelers can make the playoffs with a win, a Jags win over the Colts and The Chargers-Raiders game cannot end in a tie. The Ravens can clinch a playoff spot by winning, Chargers losing to the Raiders, Colts losing to the Jags, and the Dolphins lose or tie to the Patriots. Cincy coming off a big home win against the Chiefs play the Browns with nothing to play for. If the Chiefs and Titans both lose, the Bengals would be the 1-seed with a win. At SoFi, home of Super Bowl 56, the Niners face the Rams. For the Rams, it's simple: A win or tie wins them the division and a home playoff game. A win for the Niners and they clinch a playoff berth. Carolina goes to Tampa to play the Bucs without AB. The only way the Buccaneers move up to the second seed is if they beat the Panthers and the Rams lose to the 49ers. Seattle, with nothing to play for, goes to Arizona and plays the Cardinals. If the Cardinals beat the Seahawks and the 49ers beat the Rams, the Cardinals will win the division and be the No. 3 seed. Because of their win over the Cowboys on Sunday, there is no way for the Cardinals to win the division and be seeded behind Dallas. The Saints are also fighting for playoff positioning. New Orleans plays the Falcons in Atlanta. There's only one way the New Orleans Saints will make the playoffs: they've got to beat the Atlanta Falcons and hope for a San Francisco 49ers loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 18. If that happens, the Saints will earn the seventh playoff seed in the NFC — and a first-round matchup with the second-seed Rams. The Jets looking onto next year try to end the season with a big road win against the Bills. The Bills simply need to beat the Jets, and the division is theirs. The Patriots also looking for the division title as well as they play the Dolphins in Miami where Miami seems to play their best ball against NE at home. Patriots clinch AFC East with a win and a Bills loss or tie OR a tie and a Bills loss. Patriots clinch No. 1 seed in the AFC with a win, a Bills loss or tie, a Chiefs loss, and a Titans loss. Finally a huge game between the Chargers and Raiders. The easiest path to a Raiders clinch is for the team to beat its AFC West rival LA Chargers. That guarantees them a spot as an AFC Wild Card team. A Chargers loss and they are out of playoff scenarios. the Raiders do have a scenario where they could lose on Sunday and still make it. If the Colts lose (at the Jacksonville Jaguars) and the Pittsburgh Steelers fall (at the Baltimore Ravens), the Las Vegas Raiders clinch a playoff spot even if they go down to the Chargers. There is no MNF game
Mike030270 Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Why are the starters playing in the Browns vs Bengals game if it doesn't mean anything? Also
metal Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Lions came to play. They just stopped the Packers on 4th and 4. Game still tied at 7.
metal Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Laquon Treadwell drops a great pass from Trevor Lawrence. Would have been a big gain.
Boogyman Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Did the Giants just completely give up on a 3rd and 8?

metal Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Jags just got a first down at the Colts 12 with 30 seconds left.
Go Birds52 Posted January 9, 2022 Author Posted January 9, 2022 lets go Bears. The Giants have their pick so would like the Bears to win
metal Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Idiot Marvin Jones, Jr gets an OPI on first down. I don't see this ending in a TD for Jacksonville. nevermind, they just converted a 3rd and 8 for a 1st down and stopped the clock.
metal Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Jags settle for a FG as time expires. That's why they are 2-14. TJ Watt just tied Michael Strahan's sack record and he didn't need the QB to give up on the play to do it.
metal Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Wentz not having his best day. He just fumbled it away. The play is currently under review. He's just 5/8 for 70 yards in the 3rd quarter. And the play stands. Jags ball.
metal Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 The Jags go 3 and out and settle for a FG. 16-3 Jacksonville.
VaBeach_Eagle Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 So, if the Colts lose today, they're eliminated entirely regardless of anything else happening?
