October 18, 20241 yr way better. I don't have to wait around for someone else's schedule. Enjoy what I want, when I want

One had seen first 2 other had not. One who had not closed his eyes during that and during end scene. Said it was just too much, but enjoyed it otherwise.

Only movies I usually get to attend are kids movies with my 6 and 9 year old.

I compare it to Truth or Dare (which is better in my opinion), You’re Next, Ready or Not. All awesome. I just saw Smile 2 and it blew them all away. Just phenomenal and terrifying from start to finish. I went by myself bc my wife has 4 broads over at our house before the Morgan Wallen concert, so I actually had 5 hours to myself despite working. Currently on the lookout for hookers and blow before I have to pick up my daughters. Just got tickets for tonight. I watched Maxxxine last night. It was boring.

October 20, 20241 yr Speak No Evil remake. Meh if you never seen the original you might enjoy this one. The original was a lot better. Pretty much the same through until the end and the remake makes it its own thing. It’s not terrible but it lacks in what made the original a good one

And you don’t see Brittany Snows cans in this one either. I thought X was ok, Pearl was whatever, this was just bad. Smile 2 though was really good. Without spoiling too much it was a nice blend of jump scares, psychological horror and body horror. Spoiler I’m curious if they make a third. I suppose they could and just ignore the ending but they kinda of wrote themselves into a corner.
October 20, 20241 yr I liked Smile 2 a lot. I had high expectations going into it compared to Smile, which I had very low expectations going into. I think there are some valid criticisms about the pacing and some other issues but putting that aside I might like it a bit more than the first. I'm guessing it'll do very well at the box office based off of reviews so there will probably be a Smile 3 at some point Ending spoiler alert Spoiler Agreed about the ending. I don't know where they go from here unless they do a prequel or make it so the smile demon can only affect one person at a time, somehow. The apocalyptic scenario where thousands of people have the demon attached to them doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

October 21, 20241 yr Still working my way through my list - have a ways to go. I did watch Halloween Ends, against you guys' advice - what a steaming pile of dog sht. Shoehorning some weird love story into the first half of a Halloween movie - I was hoping I'd at least get to see the niece's huge cans. The last 20 minutes or so was fun, but the rest was absolutely uk'n TERRIBLE

There were way too many scenes of M Night's daughter just singing. Really annoyed me. It felt like him trying to shoehorn her into the movie to get her a record deal or something. And all the characters are dumb as bricks. The premise was promising but it really missed the mark.

What a weird creepy movie. Spoiler Audibly laughed at this part.

Yea, that was my one small gripe about Smile 2. There is a similar scene which looks way better than the first but the creature still looks kinda silly.
October 25, 20241 yr Been home sick the past couple of days, trying to kill time I saw that Studio 666 is on Peacock and decided to finally watch it. That movie is a lot more fun than it should be. Yeah it's corny and really bad at times but it’s no Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park. One complaint I have is that, if you’re going to make a movie specifically with the Foo Fighters, then let them rock out a little more. That movie should have had the greatest soundtrack ever.
October 29, 20241 yr Late Night with the Devil should be on everybody's list for this horror watch season. gets points for originality and attention to detail.
