Am I the only person who couldn’t care less about this?

Like it sounds real important, but you got an aching feeling it actually won't be?

I get this, but free speech doesn't mean there won't be consequences if you piss a guy off in his home.

Twitter, like the EMB, is not a platform of free speech.

I don't think you know what free speech is.  The EMB is certainly free speech.

If Twitter was the government their suspension or banning of voices like our traitorous former president would be a problem.

Given that Twitter isn't the government, freedom of speech doesn't factor in.

It's not that complicated. But intellectual honesty has long been abandoned in the culture war, where poor alt-right losers are always the victims

And to be sure I couldn't care less whether Elon owns Twitter or not. Nor do I care if he does or does not reinstate Trump and others. Though I admit I'd find it hilarious if after all the football spiking by alt-right d-bags Musk said he had no intention of overturning the ban.

You don't understand what free speech is either.  You're confusing the constitutional protections against government infringement of free speech with the American ideals of free speech that apply across the board even in the private sector.

And for that matter, Twitter didn't ban a traitorous president.  Last I checked, Obama still had an account.

Oh snowflake, doing things you don't like doesn't make a president a traitor.

Trying to overturn an election by terrorizing Congress with your sycophantic supporters after spending four years funneling tax dollars to your personal properties? Throwing your own intelligence community under the bus while cozying up to a guy who just invaded a sovereign nation because he fancies himself a modern day Peter the Great? Trying to assert oneself as the authoritarian executive the founding fathers went to great lengths to prevent? Well that certainly deserves some consideration.

Actually, I do. You agree to the Terms of Service to a platform, like the EMB or Twitter.

They control all content and can remove any content THEY DECIDE they don't like.

For example, in this haven of Free speech, you cannot type certain words:

NSDAP

I need to find a new cliche

C

Procus <- apparently your name is not on the banned words list.

That's literally not true.

You're saying I can't call my boss a piece of ish and expect not to be fired? BUT FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!

You can say what you want without reprisals from the government. That's what freedom of speech means.

It doesn't mean freedom from societal consequences. Which includes participation on a free social media platform.

It feels like good memes and satire are popping their heads up on Social Media again

Sadly, this dolt is a real person and means this sincerely.

These people have the awareness of a fruit fly.

"Twitter was rigged against Republicans!" says right wing professional victim actor from ..  Twitter.

100% true. Let’s hope Musk changes the terms and/or execution of terms allowing Twitter to become a more equitable space and a positive example for other platforms to embrace.

Oh and F Trump

Twitter was already in decline until the Trump phenomenon gave it a 2nd life.  I never really used it myself.  As for Musk, i don't even have my paypal active.
