The midterms weren't enough for you? Guess you'll just have to wait until 2024.

Can you actually address the discourse?

Musk going all in on Hunter's laptop is almost as dumb as making Trump speaker of the house. It seems like a good move on the surface to stick it to the libs, but there's no actual substance there if your main goal is to shift the political headwinds that have put democrats in the white house and given them a majority in the Senate. Just hilarious that Musk thinks this is some earth shaking bombshell or anything we didn't already know.

It’s pretty damming evidence the White House tries and achieves suppressing  information. That’s the point.

Uhhh, might want to check your calendar there, partner. The white house at the time was occupied by Donald J Trump.

But again none of this is anything we didn't already know. Political campaigns fight tooth and nail to keep potentially damaging information from getting out. Real ground-breaking stuff there. In fact, the only new tidbit in this release is that the Trump campaign engaged in it too.

Yes, and the Biden admin successfully influenced Twitter to remove content. Wonder about all the other media outlets.…

You seem really confused, bud. Biden didn't take office until Jan '21

Come on man. Don’t BS me on semantics. Point still stands. For some reason, Twitter evidently had a vested interest in suppressing information related to Biden.

No because I don't care. I really hope Republicans run on Hunter's laptop again.

I don’t think it’s a huge story, I also think that it is interesting though.

Even just reading the first few pages of the CVON Laptop thread, it seems like Twitter was suspending accounts that posted/linked the story.  Lots of people on the left were laughing as they said the story was a conspiracy theory and clearly fake.

I don’t think this has any real influence on the election and I still would have voted against Trump.  I just don’t dismiss the recent information as a nothing burger, nor is it a huge major story.  The hope is that this won’t happen again for either side.  I would be curious to see some of the stories that were suppressed that was against the republicans, since it seems it was done on both sides.

They also cleaned up Trump stories but Biden is much more likable. It bes that way sometimes.

Semantics? You literally got confused on which party was in power during the entire saga. What just happened here is basically a microcosm of how the right wing media machine operates in real time. And instead of admitting error, you choose to double down.

And the reason it suppressed the information is quite literally in the email exchanges and was already known when Dorsey testified before Congress last year. Like I said, if you've been paying any attention to this whatsoever (which you clearly have not) then none of this should come as news to you. Dorsey already admitted they mishandled the situation when he testified and explained what led them to those mistakes.

Look, here's my advice to you, dude. Turn off Fox News, it's rotting your brain and slowly making you incapable of discerning fact from fiction. I'm not saying you should jump to CNN because they can be just as bad at times, but you gotta get away from these 24hr cable news networks that only serve to become echo chambers.

The party in power is irrelevant. The Biden admin successfully influenced and suppressed information. And who knows where else. If that doesn’t bother you, I don’t know what to tell you.

We already voted out what bothered us.

Elon telling people to vote for Republicans tells me he has an agenda.  I don’t ever remember Jack Dorsey doing that.

JFC. It wasn't the Biden administration. You can't have an administration if you haven't taken office, let alone before an election even takes place.

The only thing that bothers me is that I've responded multiple times now to someone who doesn't understand what an administration is.

He meant to say "The Deep State"

You keep focusing on semantics. Do better. Address the actual discourse.

The guy who doesn't own a calendar or understand how government works wants me to address actual discourse

I told my doctor I had a circulation problem with my balls. He said, "What do you mean, you sat on them funny?" I said no, they just don't get around much.

You do you. I’ll see myself out of the echo chamber.

It's really not.

#1 every campaign petitions journalists and social media to suppress news unkind to their efforts.
#2 yes, the "White House" tries and achieves, but it was the Trump White House in this case that did. Biden was the challenger, not the incumbent.

If you don't think Fox & co. were suppressing and ignoring stories that were politically damaging to Trump while he was in office I have a big ass bridge to nowhere Alaska for sale cheap

If you want the "real" story your best bet is always going to be to read stories from a variety of sources and try to piece together actual details that make their way through whatever political bent each source is shaping the narrative for. Few journalists report "just the facts" - this is not a new phenomenon even though it's highly scrutinized relative to earlier time periods.

You didn't see where Trump also requested suppression and had those requests honored?

What part of Biden wasn’t in office are you missing? It’s more than just semantics so stop.

What information that was suppressed for Biden bothered you the most?

Does it also bother you that the Trump administration had information suppressed for them as well?
