He did not.  Both Taibbi and the other would not answer any questions regarding contact with Musk or any other Twitter staff.  The response was to the effect that it would reveal sources.

He said it was going to be a platform for free speech, it just so happens that now also includes the people who make WGB, Toastrel, and Lloyd cry.  It sucks the playing field is now level and theres nothing they can do about it

Yeah, he hasn't faceplanted at all with this purchase of Twitter. Such a smooth transition!  

In any case, his actions regarding Twitter are largely inconsequential, thus are for amusement purposes only. They pale in comparison to the danger that Trump posed as leader of the free world. Thankfully, he was exposed as being a clown and utter failure also, so hopefully we'll never have to worry about him in that position again.
