Pretty sure you could find much, much worse on the reg pre-Elon.

He said it was going to be a platform for free speech, it just so happens that now also includes the people who make WGB, Toastrel, and Lloyd cry.  It sucks the playing field is now level and theres nothing they can do about it

I remember when there were legit Libertarians on the board.....

Musk is doing a hell of a job.

Rarely have I seen a person do to $44 billion, and a company, what he has done with both.

So much winning, now that he pwns the libs.

Something's Wrong With the Starlink V2 Mini Satellites, Musk Talks About Deorbiting

https://www.autoevolution.com/news/something-s-wrong-with-the-starlink-v2-mini-satellites-musk-talks-about-deorbiting-212288.html

Quote

SpaceX recently launched its first group of Starlink V2 Mini satellites, touting improved capabilities, with four times the data capacity of the previous generation. Soon, astronomers noticed that the satellites started to descend rather than rise. On Wednesday, Elon Musk confirmed that SpaceX is experiencing "some issues."

Deorbiting. Not good.

She's Y now, or "Why?" or just "?"

"Her full name is Exa Dark Sideræl Musk,” Grimes told Vanity Fair at the time, though she said they refer to her as "Y."  What else did you expect from Grimes and Musk, who also share a two-year-old son named X Æ A-Xii? They call him "X” for short.

___________

So X and Y are your kids? They'll be fine growing up.

Twitter is dying

The running joke became ‘how is this site free?!’ Because the interactions could be so remarkable — so show-stopping or fascinating — that it felt incredible to encounter this kind of proximity (to knowledge or stardust) for free.

Well, Twitter is no longer free. Literally and figuratively. And we are all so much poorer for that.

Since Musk took over he has set about dismantling everything that made Twitter valuable — making it his mission to drive out expertise, scare away celebrity, bully reporters and — on the flip side — reward the bad actors, spammers and sycophants who thrive in the opposite environment: An information vacuum.

It almost doesn’t matter if this is deliberate sabotage by Musk or the blundering stupidity of a clueless idiot. The upshot is the same: Twitter is dying.

Given that Musk values it at less than half what he paid for it, this seems true.

If Musk kills Twitter I will consider it a job well done

More than half of Twitter’s top 1,000 advertisers before the acquisition have stopped advertising on the platform as of February, according to data from digital marketing analysis firm Pathmatics and shared with Vox. Out of Twitter’s top 10 advertisers pre-acquisition, only six still advertise on the platform, according to the firm. That affects Twitter’s bottom line: The company’s revenue was down by 40 percent, according to a December report by the Wall Street Journal. Fewer people also appear to be visiting Twitter’s website where advertisers create ad campaigns: The number of users visiting Twitter’s advertising portal page was down 18 percent in February compared to a year before, according to data from digital intelligence firm SimilarWeb.

Top 1000 is new and old. They are the ones spending the most on ads.

I mean, it says before acquisition. I'm just curious what advertiser numbers after the acquisition are. All I ever hear about is how many from before have dropped, not how many they've picked up since. Have to think at least some new ones came on.

Advertising revenue is down well over 50%. The numbers are catastrophically bad, according to leaks from those that have seen them (debt holders).
