Most of the valuable activity, like sport reporter accounts, are bots that repost tweets from the corresponding Twitter account. Blue Sky seems to be the one that has the best shot to take over. Users love it and sign ups jumped so much recently, they had to put them on hold the other day.

Reportedly has to do with a delayed migration off Google cloud platform. Couldn't or didn't pay the bill. Needed to migrate off. Didn't get it all done in time. Now they need to minimize the usage to avoid further fees they can't afford. Related: Google search has removed a huge chunk of Twitter posts from its results.
