I'm not. They wrote the character out, she doesn't have anyone to play in the new rewritten story, so she can go kick rocks.

In a legal sense, if her contract ended after season 2 and the execs didn't renew it for season 3, then her contract wasn't "terminated" and she has no valid claims of breach of contract (not that she would've anyway as most of these contracts have clauses that allow for termination for cause, including any behavior deemed damaging to the brand / image of the company.)

In a colloquial sense, if they were in pre-production planning for season 3 and her character was intended to be a part of the plot prior to her public comments, then yes she was "fired." 

The former is what matters in a court of law, the latter, not so much.

A few places I've worked had everyone on a year to year contract, so no one ever got fired. If they wanted you gone, they just waited until your contract was up and just didn't give you a new one. I think it's a common and safe way to operate.

so after some back and forth, disney told her to go F herself. IMO, they did cover their arses by offering her a way to retain her employment.

The best part is Carano even admits such in her filing:

As if the Disney offer was ridiculous and her counteroffer was some remarkable feat! 
Sure enough, Disney made plenty of attempts to let Carano keep her job. She refused and went in a different direction. You don't get to keep your job if you continually defy your employer.

Honestly, if those accusations are real it's a pretty messed up power play. 

I don't think Carano has a leg to stand on, if Disney didn't want her for whatever reason then so be it, but it isn't like Disney didn't act like a d-bag here.

I didn't love what Carano posted but I also didn't think it was THAT big a deal. Actors say dumb crap all the time.

I haven't seen too many actors in Hollywood make posts like that about the Holocaust and keep their jobs with a company like Disney. Or at least, not B-list ones like her. 

In a vacuum, it might've been tolerated, but after a history of public comments and whatever else she was saying on set or behind closed doors? The execs probably had enough and didn't think someone of her caliber was worth the headache.

I feel like what Disney thought about it, and it's possible effect on their brand, is all that matters.  Plus, the character isn't in the story anymore, which I feel is pretty important in this case.

she definitely didn't help her case throughout the whole situation, and again disney offered her ways to retain her employment, so i don't see the suit going anywhere.
