Yulia didn't accidentally fall out of a window.

Sorry just getting that out of the way preemptively.

‘You’re an amazing father, Elon’: Musk accused of running burner on X again—and nuking account who outed him

https://www.dailydot.com/debug/elon-musk-adrian-dittmann-x-burner-reaction/

Of course Elon used a burner account to praise himself. No wonder he supports the Donald.

They are just alike. Two thin-skinned puss bags desperate for attention.

The incredibly smart, big tech, super genius can't figure out how to use a PC with Windows. Also the irony of him complaining that content is restricted for account-less users.

Yep, that's what I meant about irony.

Weird that all these very free liberal democracies are introducing all these laws to police online speech.

NATO may have outlived it’s usefulness, but Trump wants to get rid of it to appease Putin.  Musk just does heavy lifting for the GOP

Putin has ensured NATO will remain useful for as long as he remains in power.

Irony aside, I fugging hate that windows 11 requires you to make a ms account.

I'm staying on Windows 10 on my personal machine.

The only way around this nonsense is to create the first account using an alt email or something, then use that to create a local account unattached to a MS account.

NATO also paved the way for the EU, and Russia is clearly still a belligerent in the region.

The Soviet Union was clearly the main target for the defensive alliance, but a defensive alliance like NATO does not outlive its usefulness because the original belligerent is no longer a state actor.

Finally, if NATO has outlived its usefulness, then you wouldn't have seen Sweden and Finland in a rush to join the defensive alliance after Russia invaded Ukraine.

NATO essentially became an organization that goes after terrorism instead of communism after 9/11.  I guess you could say it’s also tried to slow down Russia, although

2008 - Russia invades Georgia

2014 - Russia invades Crimea

2022 - Russia invades Ukraine

I'm still on 10 too but from the community notes link, all you have to do is disable WiFi and apparently it will allow you to create a local account.

None of those nations are in NATO. So I fail to see the point.

There are a a couple of ways to do it, but disabling the network does work.

Tesla Cybertruck Cuts Power In Tug-Of-War Battle Against Diesel Chevy Silverado

https://insideevs.com/news/711036/tesla-cybertruck-tug-war-chevy-silverado-diesel/

The tug-of-war hype was on and now that the Tesla Cybertruck is in production and in the hands of owners, we knew it would only be a matter of time before it was pitted against something in a tug-of-war battle and here it is against a diesel Chevy Silverado.

Unfortunately, the Cybertuck can't tug. Once the Silverado begins to pull the Cybertruck, some sort of failsafe kicks in and disables the motors/cuts power to the Cybertruck. This was a big letdown, especially since Tesla hyped the Cybertruck tug-of-war abilities during the debut. The Cybertruck does manage to pull the Silverado but only when its in park (with nobody inside the truck for some odd reason too).

Because EVs are on average 30% heavier, brakes and tires on the battery-powered cars wear out faster than on standard cars.

Emission Analytics found that tire wear emissions on half a metric tonne of battery weight in an EV are more than 400 times as great as direct exhaust particulate emissions.

For reference, half a metric tonne is equivalent to roughly 1,100 pounds. The most popular EV in the US, Tesla’s Model Y, boasts a lithium-ion battery that weighs in at a hefty 1,836 pounds.

Another sought-after electric model, Ford’s F-150 Lightning pickup truck, also has an approximately 1,800-pound battery.

Tires are the largest source of air pollution?

Tire emissions go more to the ground than the air.
