I am sure he's likely socially and economically more libertarian than conservative. He was very much against the withdraw of the US from the Paris Climate Accords and as far as I can tell a believer in climate science. He was against the government imposed Covid shut down of his Tesla plant. He's openly stated that he supports free speech but like most companies is trying to do all he can to shut down unions in his plants. Is he really going to allow anti-Tesla or anti-Musk tweeting in a forum he controls? . I think the bigger context that he may just be screwing with the SEC because he's mad that was fined because he lied in a tweet about securing funding to take Tesla private.
