Well I hate to disappoint you but he’s going to be the quarterback. I do wonder if this team commits long term to any quarterback with a big contract after the debacle with the last guy they gave money to.

Things happen. I'll hold out hope one way or another he doesn't last as the starter.

He finished the season hurt. The league has enough tape now that if he doesn't develop over the off-season, he'll be on the bench by week 9 through play or injury so I wouldn't stress it too much

This draft isn't a good QB draft. Next year is loaded.

The Eagles again could’ve replaced Hurts in the past two drafts. If they believe he stinks so bad anyone else would have been an option. You guys are so blinded by your hate for the guy that you clearly don’t see that the team is not in any rush to replace Hurts. Actually they have gone the opposite direction by bringing in guys he likes.

I look at it like this. If he turns it around somehow then a win for us. If he sucks again we got the capital to get a stud. Win/win.

So you’re rooting for him to fail. :nonono:

They weren't going to do that last year. He hadn't had a full season to show what he is. And this year the QB draft is really really bad.

Oh, I absolutely hate him as a QB. I'm just hoping he sucks beyond belief even with these weapons and they have no reason but to bench him. Them being idiots and choosing to roll with him for now doesn't change that.

100% No more fools gold. No more room for excuses. Get him the freak out. The worst thing that could happen is he does somewhat well this year and they decide to not upgrade in the next draft.

I would put it as more he has already failed. You are just hoping the team realizes that this year. He isn't good enough to win a SB. And that's what it's all about.

Yes, better way of saying it.

I’ve been hearing for three years now anyone but Hurts. The Eagles have had numerous opportunities to replace him. They haven’t. The took this guy knowing it could potentially mess up Wentz and they didn’t care. They’re the ones who took Hurts. This isn’t a case of the inheriting the player. I know it’s so hard for you all to accept, but this is Jalen’s job to lose.

My fear is I think we are going to have a pretty good team around Hurts. And the Cowboys got much worse. We might win the division DESPITE Hurts. Then get bounced round one again.  And then people can go "well he won us the division"

Well prepare to be mad all year and perhaps longer, cause if you think the Eagles are pushing out their quarterback this year then you’re gonna be wrong. 😂🤣😂

Well he's only fully started one season so I don't know how you heard that. It was a really dumb draft decision if that's what you mean.

I'm not going to be mad and I never said this year. I hope he is gone sooner but know they probably will stick with him. Still rooting for him to show what an epic fail he is.

Bruh look around you! Heck you hated Hurts from the moment he was selected. 😂

Sure did. And nothing has shown me it wasn't a stupid decision. You don't give a QB a massive extension AND draft his replacement the same year! Howie got really lucky to get out of that mess with a first..

Some people around here swear I’ve always hated Wentz. Completely false statement, but even when I was done with Wentz I’ve never rooted for him to fail. Well once he left Eagle green I openly rooted for him to fail, but never as the Eagles quarterback. If anything I wanted him to prove me wrong. This blind hate you all have for Hurts is kind of sad. Rooting for him to fail means you’re basically rooting for the Eagles to fail.

Well that quarterback imploded and turned into an NFL dumpster fire so they were right to hedge their bet on Wentz. Also Hurts took a 4 win team and turned them into a playoff team so he did something right. 🤷‍♂️

Didn't beat a winning record team all year. And the HC had to drastically change the offense halfway through the year because his QB couldn't throw the ball. Fools gold.

Sometimes a team has to take a step back to improve. He is not close to good enough to lift the trophy. He can't see the field, think through progressions, or throw the ball. I'm rooting for him to fail so there is no more wasted time. I'm fine with whatever people think about that.

For Hurts, turning it around would mean getting worse.   Hurts took the Eagles from 4 wins to 9 wins and the playoffs.  Turning it around would mean 4 wins again.   Stay the course,  natural improvement with a new freakbeast at DT and a proven great weapon at WR.  More picks to come.

Again. Didn't beat a team with a winning record all year. And his HC had to completely change the playbook to a run first team. Because his QB can't consistently throw the ball downfield. He's fools gold. Looks great against bad teams. Can't beat good ones.

He changed the offense because his receivers weren’t making plays. The same receivers that basically Wentz had who weren’t making plays for him either. If the Eagles loved their receivers so much the they don’t make the trade they made. Now does Hurts need to improve? I believe so, but this idea that he had these great weapons was a joke. These guys were stepping out of bounds on touchdown passes, running wrong routes, catching passes while losing yards, and flat out dropping passes that hit them in the hands. How many winning teams did Wentz beat in 2020?
