I love it! Howie sticking with known quantities over outthinking people.

If he can stay healthy he’s a 3 down player.

Howie’s still doing Howie though by taking guys with injuries, prospects, and guys who may need to sit for a year, but at least he’s pick SEC guys this time.

Dean, Kyzir White, Reddick...do we...have actual LBs now?

Overall you build up front. They’re making a strength much stronger. I ain’t mad it, but I would like to see a little DB help now.

FAs will hold us over till next years draft. I'm sure we'll bring some folks in.

Reddick will be on the LOS rushing the QB… he’s an Edge player.

Not necessarily. They will move him around. He's what they hoped Avery was

He has 23.5 sacks in the last two seasons.

He is here to sack QBs.

Doesn't mean he'll be solely on the EDGE is the point.

Love the pick.  First round talent in the third round.

He’ll stand up just as much as his hands in the dirt.   Either way his main job is to get after the qb.   I believe it’s the joker position or they were calling it nascar package or some crap last year as well

Yup 👍

He’s not a run defender.

He’s  not a pass defender.

He’s here to rush the QB.

80% of the time he’s on the field… he will be hunting QBs.

He’s an edge player.

At some point, he has to take a CB or S in the 1st. Maybe before I die.

I think not drafting a CB in the first round is more of a fluke, because they’ve always valued the position. Traded for Slay, spent big money on several corners, etc. But I think they just don’t value safety as a position to choose in the first round. Which is odd given how valuable Dawkins and Jenkins were for the franchise.

You're not following. I'm talking about where he will be lining up. He won't only be on the EDGE. The gentleman above explained it in more detail above.

I dont trust Gannon to utilize this kid the right way.

Do you think he’s going to be on the LOS or an off the line LB more often?

He'll do both is the only point im making.

Another key player from an SEC champion. Howie's learned his lesson to not draft from the soft ass West coast teams.

The PAC-12 says hello Thaylor...

Why not? It’s not like he had a LB as talented as him last year, that he misused or something.

"You’re not following along”

yes, he will do both.

Which will he do more?

Because I’ll be pissed if Hassan Reddick spends much time playing as an off the ball linebacker.

He’s a 3 down middle linebacker in a 3-4 or 4-3.  There’s not really any way to utilize him differently.  He excels in both pass and run situations.   Of course Gannon could go out there and scheme him onto tyreek hill and dean would get owned but no1 would ever do that including Gannon.  Players who coaches need to be schemed and utilized specially are normally tweeners like half safety half lb like simmons on cardinals.  That is not dean.  He’s a downhill lbfirst and foremost.

I asked a few of you earlier today , who was better -  Dean or Ojabo..everyone said Ojabo hands down , we got a center and Dean so can’t complain about that. Plus we pair Jordan Davis with his college teammate. I like the chemistry we’re building on both sides of the ball.
