I have no doubt both situations are occurring but what evidence do you have regarding how much is just parents melt down based on nothing vs. concerns that have some level of legitimacy? You know how these arguments go. When there are examples posted of things actually happening with evidence the 2 sides react in line with their party. If your side is supposed to disagree with it you downplay it, dismiss it as fringe or outliers. If your side is supposed to be outraged by it you magnify it into a widespread problem that is spreading like cancer and take it to its extremes and it has to be stopped before the country is doomed.

How about you put up some examples? You've got absolutely nothing. It would appear that I know more about what is going on in places in the US not named Winston-Salam or North Carolina than you do based on the evidence of your posting in here and we have access to the exact same information.

I have a kid in public school. I’ve been a board member on the PTA. I’ve worked in multiple schools. I have a much better sense of what’s happening than a guy who lives in a foreign country and consumes conservative media.

Well a lot of it is local, but rarely have claims of "anti-anti-racist" parents been substantiated. My district had the distinction of being featured in the NYTimes, and I know for a fact here the pearl clutching over CRT is completely nonsensical. It's definitely being used by the right as a political cudgel to attack "the left" and to get parents scared and out to vote for them, to great effect. My question to you would be what evidence do you have that what the right is claiming about as far as "CRT being taught in school" is substantial outside of the most left leaning of districts?

I can't ask those claims to be substantiated? Because my contention is that while there are definitely problems in some very liberal districts, any districts outside of those are not seeing any more than standard DEI. That is to say, some small number of progressive districts are pushing this "white guilt" BS - not denying that and it should absolutely get pushback. And these districts tend to be large in student population so I don't want to minimize that. But it's not a broad problem across the majority of districts.
