November 21, 20213 yr Even TMZ (it’s trending on Twitter, that’s how I saw this) blasts this post/take:
November 21, 20213 yr 9 minutes ago, Dave Moss said: If you want to know what’s going on in schools ask somebody who studies insects. By your criteria, you can only post about topics in your profession, in your state. 6 minutes ago, Dave Moss said: Don’t worry man, Tennessee banned it as well as promoting vaccines for kids. You don't live in Tennessee you can't comment.

November 21, 20213 yr Breaking: Rednecks in Tennessee think they’re being taught Critical Race Theory
November 21, 20213 yr 9 minutes ago, Dave Moss said: Yeah, but I know how to use google. So...your arguments about Dr living in Sweden and the other guy being a different profession mean nothing because they can Google things from anywhere.
November 21, 20213 yr 32 minutes ago, Dave Moss said: I don’t disagree at all. Kids aren’t prepared for life after high school. Mine are.
November 21, 20213 yr 1 minute ago, Dave Moss said: No they’re not. You don't parent his kids you don't know anything about them, hypocrite.
November 21, 20213 yr 19 minutes ago, NOTW said: The goal posts moved from: It's not being taught. To: Well ok it's being taught in left leaning districts, show me where it's being taught in conservative districts. Have I ever claimed that there aren't districts with "questionable" approaches to race? I can't speak to what others are claiming. I know there are anti-racist elements out there that go way over the line into the spaces that the right complains about. What I've maintained is that in the vast majority of districts you don't have have policies that have kids being taught they're inherently racist. (I'm trying to be specific about the behaviors here because what is and is not CRT is very muddied) When people say "CRT is being taught in districts" I don't even know what that means anymore because CRT has been completely redefined to be "any race based curriculum I don't like" by so many.

I do agree a lot of people don't even know what it is, and it's the latest boogeyman for the right wing outrage machine.

Dr. Philly is completely dishonest about it being taught. Btw, did you file a CRT complaint in your district yet?
November 21, 20213 yr 8 minutes ago, Dave Moss said: No they’re not. Sure they are. I heard they’re going to be community college professors.
November 21, 20213 yr 3 minutes ago, Outlaw said: Sure they are. I heard they’re going to be community college professors. At least six years of college required. Fwiw.
November 21, 20213 yr Just now, Dave Moss said: At least six years of college required. Fwiw. Wow, you need a graduate degree to teach 13th grade for pennies?
November 21, 20213 yr 1 minute ago, Outlaw said: Wow, you need a graduate degree to teach 13th grade for pennies? Yep, believe it or not. Did you think people teaching college classes only have bachelors degrees?
November 21, 20213 yr 4 minutes ago, Dave Moss said: At least six years of college required. Fwiw. Well sure if you want to teach community college. Real talent can finish in 4. 5 tops
November 21, 20213 yr 1 hour ago, Dave Moss said: No they’re not. Yes they are. A ton more than I was.
November 21, 20213 yr 1 hour ago, Dave Moss said: Yep, believe it or not. Did you think people teaching college classes only have bachelors degrees? For community college I assumed high school or GED plus maybe a certificate program of some kind. 4 minutes ago, NOTW said: "I have a dream, that one day.. " Automatic rifle. Bwahahaha

November 21, 20213 yr 3 hours ago, Dave Moss said: I don’t disagree at all. Kids aren’t prepared for life after high school. Its sad. I blame the parents as much as I blame the education system. School is not the baby sitter. If you're going to have kids commit to the process.
November 21, 20213 yr 5 hours ago, JohnSnowsHair said: I don't follow. Claims are being made that CRT is somehow undermining school districts across the country. I can't ask those claims to be substantiated? Because my contention is that while there are definitely problems in some very liberal districts, any districts outside of those are not seeing any more than standard DEI. That is to say, some small number of progressive districts are pushing this "white guilt" BS - not denying that and it should absolutely get pushback. And these districts tend to be large in student population so I don't want to minimize that. But it's not a broad problem across the majority of districts. Perhaps the school systems would do better using the tax dollars to teach the kids something useful. Functional after high school type ****. Just a thought.

I agree 100% with this. One guy redefined the term CRT and off we went. The same trick that was applied to other terms like "racist", "rape", "violence", etc. and with the same basic effect. Munson's game used against him. What is being taught is all the luny fringy crap from the wokest left and to kids of a quite young age (NOT the actual theory itself). How widespread is it? Who knows. Enough that the reports consistently roll in from all across the country. Maybe lots of those are due to a single lunatic teacher pushing their woke agenda. The point is that it is happening and it isn't limited to just a few places (again, I have no idea what percentages but enough that it is a problem) and the Democrats aren't doing anything to manage the issue. They lost the Gov race in Virginia because of it. Now having said that, there are certainly tons of idiot parents who take the banner of CRT and then yell loudly about all sorts of unrelated or harmless stuff. No doubt about that. They probably outnumber the people debating items that are based on legitimate concerns. Classic both siding here and it applies yet again. The simple solution would be some sort of national level commitment from the Dems to support clearly teaching the history of racism in American schools BUT to NOT do things like separate kids into oppressed and oppressor groups. Teach basic black American history but dump the Kendi anti-racist crap. Drive a national campaign and push the left fringe out of the limelight on this topic. 2022 is going to be a bloodbath if the Dems don't get control of the narrative and put a muzzle on their fringe.
