I don't have a problem against teaching high level consent type stuff.

Making sure 2nd graders know all medical terminology, every sexual orientation and gender, and the biology of sexual reproduction is ridiculous

That's fair.

Maybe so but still doesn't seem like something to get bent out of shape about. Not saying you are but clearly many out there are making a big deal about it.  Enough that we were treated to Psaki's opinion.  Still feels to me like there must be more to it then something that only applies to K-3.  If not, then I'd have to call it woke overreach.

Republicans are making legislation and the courts another front in the culture war.

Or at least expanding that front.

If there are specific issues with districts teaching something parents find objectionable it seems to me that is what school boards are actually for.

This just seems like passing legislation to manufacture a political strawman for the right to argue against.

I would agree with that. I just don't know that we need legislation on the books to enforce it.

Generally speaking we need less legislation, not more.

So if that's true then the left should simply ignore it.  Pretty much my point.  The entire thing is kinda stupid.

Some questionable objectives, but it seems like mostly it's geared towards helping kids be able to identify when they're being abused, not so much "sex ed."

Just handle it like they did for us when we were kids.  Show a video and call it a day

How about we just teach the second graders that they're all born gay and the stupidest straight ones that believe it won't grow up to reproduce
so it'll reduce overpopulation while advancing the gene pool?

If it's a political strawman for the right, why is it drawing condemnation from the white house, virtually every democrat, and nearly the entirety of the MSM? Why are they all brazenly lying about the basics of the law?

At some point, you have to realize that you are a hardcore ishlib and quit pretending to be neutral, dude.

Morbid on my part, but my first thought is that he is so committed to the bit at this point, he did it so that if he off's himself in prison, he hopes it causes doubt and people say "See!  Those evil white Trumpers WERE out to get him!!!!"

Of course, this is coming from the opinion that he is a racist attention seeking scumbag.
