I’ll blame this on the Covid.

I actually feel a bit better today than yesterday. Not great but I was able to function and wasn't bed-bound. I wrote that while I was sitting under an umbrella by the pool while my kids were swimming. Unfortunately the wife now has Covid and is worse than me, so I can't say I was paying as close attention to my wording - was at least monitoring my 5 year old swimming in the deep end.

That said, where I was going was this: https://reports.mountsinai.org/article/urol2021-03-a-pioneering-approach-to-sex-reassignment-surgery

Basically genetically compatible male and female pairs who each want to transition having their sex organs swapped. My curiosity led me to wonder if something like that might be happening. It isn't yet but seems imminent, even if some here are in denial.

Whether it's good or not can be debated. But barring a collapse of society medical science will advance it within I'd say 20 years.

That's just nucking futs. The job market is still great, and even facing a recession there are positions not being filled. Business is still demanding more workers than the labor market is producing, and that is still pushing wages up. Given how much money was printed since March '20 wage growth is at least one of the ways we can offset price inflation.

Giving out money is part of the reason we’re in this situation.

I agree 100%. It is WAY overblown. At the same time, when NPR can’t use the term "women” anymore to refer to "humans who menstruate” then we do have a bit of a problem.

The problem with the tampon shortage isn't NPR's labeling, it's that nobody expected the demand to be as high for them in little boys' restrooms in elementary schools.

Dude, unless you're old or have health issues it's almost certain that in your lifetime somebody born a man will probably menstruate.

Medical science will get there.

It wasn't a cracked question. It took me five minutes to find that work is being done in this area.

You're right ... they already had success with pig-man.

This still doesn't address all elements of the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonad axis.  It would be the equivalent of swapping  out your engine bit keeping the control computer from the very different one you just replaced.

Of course men can menstruate...hence "men"struate and "men"opause. Duh!

What are the odds of adopting 2 male children and having them both turn out to be trans?
