You have never met a successful woman who was self absorbed and thought she was overly important? I sure have.

Not the point at all.  Usually a hero has to learn to use their powers, go through some kind of trial and error, struggle, fail, overcome, etc.  In this, She-Hulk mastered everything immediately with no training needed, no adjustment.  They way they built up her being cocky and arrogant laying it on sooooo thick, it was a good setup for her to be humbled and face reality. We'll see what happens in upcoming episodes if she does face any adversity.

Yeah. I dunno. It's in the material that she has control over her "Hulk", and Bruce often doesn't. I never paid attention or cared about the why of it and until I saw the first episode I didn't know anything about her origin story or if what they did in the show is the same or similar to the books.

I was obviously addressing his second paragraph and not the third. I get it, that post was super long with lots and lots of words, so it confused you. Here let me help you out, Squirt!

Bruce battled with having the Hulk takeover and hurt people, he lived with that guilt.  He was hunted down by the military, betrayed, went through all those Avengers battles, lost to Thanos, dealt with all the people dying in the snap...but she's been catcalled!  In The Avengers Bruce talks about getting so depressed that he tried to commit suicide but the Hulk spit out the bullet.  But hey, Jen has male co-workers that mainsplain to her so it's like totally worse!

I never read many comics, but I did read that in the origin story it was Bruce who saved her from dying by donating his blood after a car accident. In this, Bruce was injured and she had to save him and his blood accidentally got in her.  Bruce is surprised that her Hulk self doesn't take over, that she's one persona.  I figured it was that she got his blood as "Smart Hulk" so maybe the version she got is his stable version.  They just kinda rushed it and she's just mastered everything immediately.  Perhaps should have been a one hour premiere to develop that some more.

I've never read a She Hulk comic either. I just knew it's a given she controls her powers more than he can, but they don't grow like his can. I guess since I knew that, the fact she didn't struggle much with it didn't bother me. Also, the show was only like 35 minutes so maybe they are saving her having difficulties with control for later in the series?

I believe her base strength is a bit higher as well, but again he can very quickly become way, way stronger.

That’s no way to talk about your wife.

The successful part is dead nuts on. The rest, not so much.

Also, it's worth it for her to master her powers so fast because it causes adults to get triggered over a comic book character.

I saw a Democrat share that on Facebook and then remove it as well.  What's funny is some of the actual books that are on ban lists are because liberals wanted them banned, like To Kill a Mockingbird or Huck Finn.  Both sides have books they want to ban.
