They didn’t argue that releasing footage should be illegal in general.
March 10, 20232 yr This spoiled little brat is a hero to a movement https://nypost.com/2023/03/09/colin-kaepernick-accuses-white-adoptive-parents-of-problematic-upbringing/ Quote Colin Kaepernick accuses white adoptive parents of ‘problematic’ upbringing, perpetuating racism By Katherine Donlevy March 9, 2023 2:28pm ... One of these disagreements illustrated in the novel was a fight over his hairstyle. Kaepernick, in an attempt to idolize basketball player Allen Iverson, wanted to embrace his blackness by wearing cornrows, but his mother pushed back. "He’s getting what rolls?” his mother, Teresa, is cited as saying in the book. In reality, she allegedly told him: "Oh, your hair’s not professional. Oh, you look like a little thug.” The conversation with his mother has continued to impact Kaepernick’s life decades later, he said, even influencing his now-famous afro hairstyle. "It also is informed why I have my hair long today,” Kaepernick said Thursday. OMG, a mother told her son she didn't like his hairstyle! That never happens to white kids.

One time, post Navy days, I shaved my head. When I walked into the house she flipped out and started calling me a skinhead. Taken aback I pointed out to her that, in fact, a lot of black d00des also shaved their heads. Over the next day or so she noticed on the tv that a lot of black guys did have shaved heads and that i might not actually be a skinhead.

March 11, 20232 yr
During her appearance on the controversial ABC show, Fonda said: "We have experienced for many decades now of having agency over our bodies, of being able to determine when and how many children to have. "We know what that feels like,” she continued. "We know what that’s done for our lives. "We’re not going back. I don’t care what the laws are. We’re not going back.” Co-host Joy Behar asked what she would recommend people do beyond "marching and protesting.” "Well, I’ve thought of murder,” Fonda said. "It’s not going to happen overnight — what did you say?” guest Lily Tomlin said. "Don’t say that,” Tomlin added after realizing what Fonda had said..
They didn’t argue that releasing footage should be illegal in general. That they didn’t mention those words is only because of where the clip started, because it’s obvious that that’s what the discussion was about. And it’s utter hypocrisy that they’re bemoaning the viewing of a small portion of 44,000 hours of video given that that’s exactly what the Democrats and media have done for the past 2 years to define an entire day and everyone involved with it.

March 14, 20232 yr Some black celebrities are mad because Michael B. Jordan showed support for Angela Bassett not winning Best Supporting Actress by saying "Hey Auntie. We love you." Oprah, Ava Duverney, others don't like it because it makes them feel old. It's literally the line Jordan's character Killmonger says to her in the first Black Panther movie. smh So now there are new rules of how to address people and there are lists of options, just not Auntie. https://www.theroot.com/dont-call-me-auntie-black-celebs-have-strong-feelings-1850220300 Quote "Auntie Ava? Why? Am I that old? Because I don’t feel that old,” DuVernay said during a 2019 appearance on Van Lathan’s "The Red Pill” podcast. "And it’s not a respect thing. Auntie Ava like Aunt Jemima?” And just in case that left folks scrambling to figure out what the heck to call her, DuVernay sent a follow-up tweet to clarify just exactly how she’d like to be addressed. "For the record, I happily respond to Hello Ms. DuVernay, hello sis, hello queen, hello family, hello Ava (safest bet). Ms. Ava is fine if you’re under 18,” she tweeted on June 4. Oprah doesn't want to be called Auntie, but there are exceptions. Quote Oprah Winfrey echoes DuVernay’s sentiments. "I cringe being called Auntie or Mama by anybody other than my nieces or godchildren,” Winfrey explained in a 2019 interview. "Except if I’m in Africa, where it’s the custom for everybody to refer to anyone older as ‘Sister’ or ‘Auntie,’ depending on the age difference. And there, no one refers to anyone older by their first name out of respect.” Gayle King: it's not ok...unless Quote And Winfrey’s BFF Gayle King was quick to cosign. "I hate being called Auntie. That’s what you say to old people or the old lady who lives in the neighborhood,” she said. "I get that it’s a sign of respect, but no one’s calling Beyoncé Auntie Beyoncé. The only ones who should be calling me ‘Aunt’ are my niece and nephew, and they don’t add the ie.” So these are old women complaining about a term they are totally fine with using for other old women, just not them. Just accept it, you're old.
