What about all the. kids who would face being physically abused or actually disowned by their parents? Do you think those kid should have to hide who they are? Should they have to deal with their depression on their own? If the kid of a parent like that came out to you, would you put them at risk and tell their parents? Or would you maybe point them in a direction where they can get help? It's hardly surprising that people use the rare outlier to try to justify their unjustifiable positions. The law is there to deal with physical abuse, and teachers and school councelors are not judges nor juries and should not have the right to arbitrarily take away parents' absolute right to know what's going on with their kids and make decisions about their well-being.
March 31, 20232 yr what the frick? https://www.familiesforsanfrancisco.com/updates/inequity-in-numbers so basically SF schools were not allowing alegbra until 9th? we're over here having our kid entering 7th grade getting into algebra .. and he won't turn 13 until the summer AFTER 7th grade. not allowing advanced tracks for capable students is bonkers.
