Yeah, and eminent domain isn't "seizing private property," property owners have rights and can fight eminent domain.

It's clickbait nonsense.

Yeah....  Because ordinary people have the necessary time, resources and money to fight the government.

It's literally "seizing private property"

Eminent domain refers to the process by which the government may seize private property with proper compensation, but without the owner’s consent. The Fifth Amendment to the Constitution stipulates:

  1. that the property must be claimed for "a public use;” and,
  2. that "just compensation" must be provided to the property owner.

yeah I'm well aware of what eminent domain is. Trump used it heavily to try and build his stupid wall and homeowners battled him.

I have little doubt that if some "woke" corporation tried to get government to "seize" property under eminent domain to build a solar power plant or wind farm that there'd be plenty of funding to fight it.

but until then let's argue about a hypothetical that will never happen.

Trump loves eminent domain:

Quote

'The fact is, if you have a person living in an area that's not even necessarily a good area, and government, whether it's local or whatever, government wants to build a tremendous economic development, where a lot of people are going to be put to work and make area that's not good into a good area, and move the person that's living there into a better place - now, I know it might not be their choice - but move the person to a better place and yet create thousands upon thousands of jobs and beautification and lots of other things, I think it happens to be good.”

You should be able to embed tweets (Xs?) into posts. I embed them through the web version of the EMB, by simply waiting a few seconds because I think it does it automatically.

Used to work for me but quit working a few weeks ago.

Muchas gracias.  I figure the tweets will start automatically embedding again as soon as I renew my EMB+ subscription.
