Muchas gracias.  I figure the tweets will start automatically embedding again as soon as I renew my EMB+ subscription.

Twitter.com embeds.  x.com changes to twitter.com but won't embed. You have to either cut and paste the fixed link in again to get it to embed or change x.com to twitter.com in the first place.

7 times?  That sounds personal IMO

Used to work for me but quit working a few weeks ago.

If you're on mobile (Android here) at least, you need to paste plain text with a Twitter.com not x.com domain. Sometimes I have to paste it here, edit, cut the URL again, then paste it in plain text.

Copying the share link from the browser itself when you're on the tweet does it pretty consistently for me.

If what you paste is a twitter.com link but it still doesn't embed, try typing a space after then hitting enter. It seems to trigger the tweet share detection code.

It's gotten more of a pain since Elon changed the share links generated by Twitter to x.com. Whatever mechanism the EMB is using to identify Twitter embeds is tied to the domain obviously.

His links already are twitter domain links, he just needs to not be such a noob and post only the base link without special characters.

Edit: after clicking on one, I see the redirect, so they must be x.com domain links but pasted with twitter domain in text. That's just dumb. But it's Elon, so par for the course.

I've never had issues with having a query string included, I think it has more to do with triggering the code that recognizes the twitter link being pasted in.

If you paste it from the "share" generated link on mobile it's x.com so it has to be edited

If you paste it as a rich-text link - which already has the "web link" component to it - and it's twitter.com but doesn't embed, adding a space after then hitting return seems to trigger it for me.

The most foolproof way I've found is to copy the link from the browser share (on mobile) or directly from the omnibox / location bar on the desktop. With or without the "?s=20etc" query string portion it consistently works because you're pasting a plain-text URL with twitter.com as the host.

If I'm on mobile and need to use a share link with x.com, I'll just paste it, hand edit x => twitter, then cut the whole thing again and paste it as plain-text. it always picks it up.

yeah I noticed the url didnt match after I clicked and saw the redirect. He had to have known this would break embedding and a bunch of other thiings but he did it anyway, because he's wicked smaht and thinks it sounds cool to say x.com

should be a simple update to whatever Javascript plugin/whatever here is handling turning twitter URLs into embeds.

The board changes x.com to twtitter.com, but it appears it happens AFTER it tries to embed the link, not before.  They were testing this out in the blog a few weeks ago as a potential fix but no luck.

I don't understand why people use "phobic" to mean hate. Phobia is fear.

And literally no one is crying "tears" about fat people.

Your first error began with "I thought".

You're not a thinker. Know your role.

It’s sad, but if these morons are going to keep voting and advocating for "social justice” instead of actual justice, I’m glad it’s them and not some innocent unlucky dude.

B**ch, if you can't walk down a hallway, you need to go to a hospital, not a hotel.

If they make a wider hall, it’s going to take off of space from the room itself.  Which would probably anger her for making the rooms for her smaller than regular rooms.

They should do the opposite and make the hallways narrower as a metaphor for what's likely happening to her F'in arteries.

I'm smart enough to know I'll never get the time back I wasted reading your **** post.

Plenty smarter than your brother was when he knocked up your mother.
