How can you honestly measure the average IQ of college students?  It’s not like every student takes an IQ test prior to going to school.  I’m willing to bet the majority haven’t.

College admission tests are becoming a thing of the past. More than 80 percent of U.S. colleges and universities do not require applicants to take standardized tests like the SAT or the ACT. That proportion of institutions with test-optional policies has more than doubled since the spring of 2020.

Yeah, the pandemic changed things.  Right before the pandemic over half of all colleges required them.

...and the tide is turning back the other way with e.g. Yale, going back to the SAT as they discover they need it to be able to run competitive admissions
