You need to factor in topography too.  WV is pretty much one big mountain.  Hard to have a large, dense population.

Edit: Im behind.  Others beat me to it.

So is Colorado and they have large dense populations.

Another fantastic segment on Tucker. Police are being told to stand down in many cities across the country so that mobs of leftists can assault those of opposing ideologies. It's disgusting.

So youve never been to Colorado

i dont think mike is saying change isnt coming, but how about lending some assistance to folks who need more education ? i mean this country helps just about anyone else.

so mike, in that regard, what does the WV state government have planned in educating its citizens to make the transition from coal miners to people who dont eat black dust all day ? would you be against tax dollars going towards that education ?

Pretty much the only thing the govt can do is use tax money from the energy companies to fund schools

I cant speak as much about southern WV, which is one of the poorest areas in the country.  But just one county over, they legit built an entire new school system with tax revenue.

There are just so many problems stemming from poverty and not a lot of ways out

Of course I have.  Denver's a big city.  Obviously, it dwarfs any city in WV.

So then you know Denver is almost 100% flat

So there are no flat areas in WV?

Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs?

All high plains.  Not in the mountains.

I'll let the dude who actually lives there reply to this, but looking at a topographic map, not really

No, its literally called the mountain state because the entire state lies within a mountain range

Toward the western part of the state it isnt as mountainous, but still very hilly.

Theres a reason the state has never been developed, its nearly impassable unless you want to dynamite mountains

Edit:. Youll notice that all of the big towns in WV are located along rivers.  Thats pretty much the only way the state was accessible for like 100 years

Yeah, West Virginia is not great for agriculture. That’s why WV broke from Virginia during the Civil War - people didn’t own slaves in that part of the state.

  Yes Colorado is just all one big mountain just like WV - also it snows there 24/7, 365

That sucks.  You should get out of there ASAP.

I've been to tons of cities in CO on top of the mountains!  If by city you mean occasional small ski town.  Seriously once you're over the front range and in the mountains there ain't sheet.

My friend moved to Crested Butte. He said they have one stoplight

I have never been to Grand Junction.  That might be the exception to the rule.

We have friends who live in Crested Butte - gorgeous but far too remote for my taste.

The entire right half of Colorado before the front range is literally called the Great Plains - you know because they are flat, wide open plains

That's on the other side of the range though right?  I drove from Denver to Steamboat(I-70 and some other roads) and Steamboat to Estes (via 14 since 34 was closed already for winter and 14 was still a hairy drive).  Not much other than ranches and small ski towns.  Been out to Vale and pretty much the entire front range.  Still need to go to Durango area though.

I'm no expert on the matter, because I've never been to Colorado and don't know much about it.  But after reading through this topic I can say that I don't have anything to contribute, because like I said in the beginning I'm no expert on the matter.

Colorado is the hub of child trafficking.  I saw it on Facebook.

I was in Crested Butte in February.  Loved skiing there but that town is full of annoying, self entitled Bernie Bros.
