I know it's not my money I'm leaving on the table but it would have been great if Brees said, ef it, I'm retired effective immediately. Then, the Saints could have gone back to irrelevancy the way they were before he got there. 

Feel bad for Brees....he has a right to express his opinion. I also feel he is right and the kneeling was disrespectful. Kap knew he'd get a a rise out of people. Trolling 101. But when you have the outrage mob on your side you just double down.

Furthermore I'm glad M Jenkins is gone from the Eagles because he lacks any and all insight outside his narrow minded perspectives. He was always that way while here and was regressing hard on the field so he was not worth it. Listen to his response to Brees among the rest of the low IQ crew on social media.....think these people want a discussion? No...lock step or suffer is their approach. 

Glad that Brees came out today with his apology. If he had waited it would have been hell to pay. Yea, everybody has an opinion; let's keep it that way. Brees seems to be a stand-up guy and is respected so hopefully he doesn't have to be treated badly as time goes on.

The funny thing is everyone wanted him to walk back what he said and apologize. Why? It's how he feels. Agree or disagree. Right or wrong. You think that apology meant anything? Lol he just wanted people off his back. He was bullied into a fake apology. Does that really satisfy anyone? You know he doesn't mean it.  I don't understand the demand for fake apologies.

Very good point. Part of the moving on now and forging a better future for all has to be about forgiving? Easier said than done i know. 

Me personally I dont think Brees had to apologize for having his own view. He has just as much of a right to have his view as Jenkins/Kap/Thomas etc has their views. I did find it funny that Thomas's reply was "I disagreed with what he said but I accept his apology" So you now have to apologies when two people dont agree? Brees was pretty respectful in saying what he said and gave his reason for what he said. i respect that out of him. Just like I respect the others that disagree and have their examples on why.

Brees didn't have to apologize if he didn't want to. He likely would have faced more backlash though. 

Celebrities have to apologize for everything if they want to keep their status.
