The drawing for Monday night's record $1.9 billion Powerball jackpot has been delayed, as more time is needed to carry out security procedures, the California Lottery announced.

"When the required security protocols are complete, the drawing will be performed under the supervision of lottery security officials and independent auditors," the state Lottery said.

i 100% thought they drew on tuesdays. guess i dont need to rush out and buy a ticket today now.

Surprising California does not tax lottery winnings that person or persons will walk away with over $550+ million after about 37% in federal taxes on cash option 

And the feds will blow that 37 % on pay raises.

Ya you sound happy about it.

Maybe the Federal Government should put $4 or $5 Million in on tickets when these kinds of jackpots come up and if they win anything, it goes to The National Debt (by the way, I'll be re-naming the EMB to 'The National Debt' as soon as the Federal Government jumps on board with this plan...)

I see that the current jack pot is now up to $1.7 Billion. If I win, the EMB will have a few luxury boxes at the Linc!

I bought tickets for the last two drawings and didn't win.  Clearly rigged.
