My wife feels that way about Chappelle And Chris Rock. For me I think anyone in politics is pretty much a liar and a crook. They generally deserve the scorn and ridicule they get. I never feel sorry for them when they get derided or insulted (and yes that includes Joe Biden and the like). They make a ton of money and get all kinds of perks usually at the tax payers expense. I'm sure other than a whiny cry baby like Trump, most of them couldn't care less when they get made fun of. It's ironic that regular people like those of us post here probably get more offended that the actual targets of videos like these. In the case of Candice Owens, I can almost guarantee it. I agree that politicians are fair game - and I despise the lot of them - it was just that the racist commentary was overly offensive IMO

I don't think George was a hero. He didn't martyr himself.

The protests are about the WAY he was killed and the default reaction of the police, to cover it up, or ignore it, or wait and see if it goes away on its own.

I honestly did not watch her video - because I was bored in the first 30 seconds.

I think the cities burning are a sign of elevation of George.  He died a tragic death and the police behaved abominably.  

That is a criminal matter though - and should be treated as such - for all the criminals involved - those present and those covering it up.

I think it was more about the funeral than the protest. Hopefully we can all agree that he was murdered.

That is every funeral I ever attended. I went to the wife's uncle's funeral, man I loathe. As racist a POS as I ever met. Everybody talking about what a great man, kind man, prince among men.

Fair enough. I just thought what I see day in day out here in CVON is far more racist than the jokes in that video.

Any body of any color can be racist. Although people really use the word badly.

What we are really talking about are bigots. Bigots can be white and hate white people. Or be black and hate black people. Self-loathing is problem as common as blades of grass.

If you discuss race and say dark black skin is better adapted for being in the sun than pale white skin, that is racist. It isn't bigoted. It does discriminate between skin colors and judge one superior. It just happens to be a fact. It discriminates and it is racist, but it is also factual and not bigoted.

Nah, blatant racism is everywhere but seemingly people only get upset with it when it's white on black, but laugh about it when it's black on white. Sorry but there is indeed a double standard when it comes to racism that has developed over the last 20ish years. Racism is racism  wrong all the way around. You'll never get rid of racism if it is allowed to continue by any race.
