Nice - we signed a reliever who isn't in his late 30s

He's only pitched 38 innings since 2018 though lol

I still like the signing.   He was pretty good last season before the oblique injury and he's another year removed from Tommy John

I honestly don't understand the Medina thing..... He was a top prospect who actually pitched okay in limited MLB innings.

It's not like we have a ton of pitching depth..... Odd

Yeah.  They’re all doing it now as a form of solidarity.  Which is typical of unions.  But MLB said they had to do it, which is also stupid.   F this ish.

It’s billionaires fighting with millionaires. I think it’s hard for ordinary people to take seriously.

My first impression is that the owners don't want to negotiate. And they want to put pressure on the players to create urgency.

Also, owners wanna own the franchise and the players. No early free agency. They own you.

My last point is that a baseball strike in unAmerican in these times of job uncertainty.

I am not worried about player jobs, but stadium jobs, local economic impact to businesses, restaurants, hotels, etc.

I blame the owners for their lack of judgement. They had our attention with free agency. Now, we just think they are showing their arses.

I haven't seen any dates for MLB negotiations with MLBPA.

Any news out there? It's kind of quiet.

He's 15?  In Dominican years?  So that's like 20-21 in regular years, right?

Yup.  Dominican years are trumped only by Mutumbo years.  I’m convinced he was pushing 60 when he retired from the NBA.

Can’t hurt. Who knows if this guy amounts to anything, but glad to see them seriously dipping into the international market.
