It’s only a 5 game series!!??

Why do I feel like this playoff round has pretty much always been a 7 game series?

I guess I could be confusing my sports. I admit to not knowing much about Baseball. LOL

Eflin has compiled a 12.00 ERA and a 2.67 WHIP so far in the playoffs.

Small sample size I get it, but he needs to be pulled from the closer role.

He should only even pitch if they need a long reliever in a game. Not sure if Dominguez is even available today, but Alvarado and Dominguez need to be their go-to for the 8th and 9th.

Yep. Be even more insane if Wheeler gets the win today and they go back to Philly with a chance to sweep.

Actually thought about this when i saw rain might delay and stop the game. I’d push wheeler to Friday and nola to Saturday. Each get extra rest. But also better forecast. Add on wheeler matches up with Morton. Morton hasn’t been good on the road as he’s 3-5 with a 5.72 ERA. So it’s advantage Phillies. Game 4 it’s nola vs. odorizzi or strider who’s coming off an injury and hasn’t pitched in a month. Still advantage Phillies as strider likely only goes 3-4 innings. The thing is the Phillies were never going to get wheeler and nola more than 1 start. the thought to just use them in Philly where no rain is in the forecast isn’t all that crazy and hope syndergaard can come through for you today as it’s likely stop and start with rain

While we're on physics, it always annoyed me that commentators talk about a pitcher's "velocity," but velocity is a vector quantity (speed+direction), not a scalar quantity. They never mention the ball's direction. So, the word they're looking for is simply "speed," but I guess they want to sound fancy.

Looking at the radar this could be a relatively long delay
