Falter would be a good bullpen guy, he can't make it  2nd time through order

I'm convinced that this team has hit by far the most solo home runs in the league for probably the last 5 years

6 in a row. Schwarber 0-5. I'm guessing that simpleton Thomson will have him batting leadoff tomorrow once again.

He is comfortable there, that is most important

6 losses in a row. Schwarber 0-5 now batting .176 on the year. Just what you want your leadoff hitter to be. Nice job with the lineup Thomson. Keep doing it until you get fired, numbnuts.

And don’t forget that it worked last year.

Tbh we did it last year because we didn’t have better options at leadoff. It was either hoskins or schwarber. This year you have multiple better options in stott, Turner and even marsh with how he’s hitting.

I agree but that was one of the excuses Thomson used to justify leading him off the past 3 games.

HOT TAKE...or warm take. By the end of the year Walker will have a better ERA than Eflin

Idk eflin likely to get hurt around June and July miss 3 months so his era might just stay really low all year. The issue with eflin has and will always him missing bulk of the season. Since 2019 only year he stayed healthy was 2020 where it was 60 games. The rest he missed at least 2.5 to 3 months of every season. It’s why when sack the Qb ****es about why they didn’t sign him it’s cause 3 years and the third year at 18 mil is ridiculous when you realize he never stays healthy. Heck rays using a 6 man rotation to help him out and he already didn’t start a game from April 13 to April 27

At least the Mets are losing to worse teams than the Phillies.

Was just going to say Eflin is about due for an injury soon, so he won’t be able to damage his ERA.

Such a long season, they've had a ton of injuries and while the division might be out of reach (and that's might), they are absolutely in the wild card race with their horrible schedule and injuries.  It's why I just can't get excited by a sport with 162 games in a season until about September!
