LA in the Playoffs is going to die by its Bullpen.

Yup their starters are ridiculously good in snell, Ohtani, Sheehan and glasnow. I’d argue with wheeler out it’s probably the best rotation with kershaw as a 5th starter. Their bullpen is not good though. Hasn’t really been all year. Basically have to knock their starter out and get to their pen. Last year had the opposite problem as they had Yamamoto left and basically dominant bullpen.

Also good to know Brandon marsh being hungover allows him to unlock being able to hit LHP

Ohtani blasted that.

our bullpen being bad back to back nights is not good

Marchan!!!

I can’t Fing believe it. The Phillies always have some unsung hero that no one expects at dodger stadium going back to Matt stairs.

He made him throw strikes and sat on that part of the plate. He’d have taken a walk.

Believe the magic number for the bye is 4 since we own the tiebreaker with the dodgers after this win.

I told you we’d take care of the Dodgers. We always do

I went to bed at 4-0. What a come back! Seems like the 2 seed and bye is a near lock at this point with 4 games being the magic number.

The concern i made is still valid with the dodgers. Their starting pitching is very good and we struggled mightily against it. Against the two starting pitchers Sheehan (basically was) and Ohtani the Phillies have 1 hit in 10.2 innings. Roberts pulled Ohtani after 68 pitches after the 5th and he had given up no hits. Granted he was facing a lineup with 1/3 of our starters out. I’m guessing in the postseason that’s not going to happen which another 2 or 3 dominant innings by Ohtani their bullpen only needs 3 or 6 outs. It’s a lot of pressure on the lineup needing to score 3-4 runs in 2 innings or less to win a game in a playoff game.

Another concern starting to pop up vs. dodgers is the bullpen. This goes back to even before this series with kerkering just not being good in the second half. Our pen has just been bad against the dodgers lineup (wasn’t great last two games vs KC either). Kerkering has been a mess since beginning of August. They could really use him figuring his crap out as he should be our best RP not named Duran yet we can rarely use him right now. Gonna be relying heavily on Duran, strahm, banks and Robertson. With Robertson has had the issue of throwing back to back games that he did his second stint with us. Last night only had to get 6 outs to get the win up 6-4. They got 2 outs before the lead was gone (tbh not sure why Thomson used Robertson back to back. At 40 it’s asking why too much of him). Night before they also managed to struggle to hold a lead.

Damn them..... they're making me believe in them again !

That Felix Reyes kid can absolutely rake. He won the eastern league batting title. His first game with Leigh he went 3-4. He’s a DH/OF. He’s 24 so he’s an older prospect and really this is the first year he’s been dominating as a hitter. Curious if he hits well to finish the year in triple A and in ST next year to see what they do with him.

Bandwagon fan checking in here. Haven't watched a game all season. Sorry. 😣

I just want to see another parade in Philly to celebrate a Title.

So, uhhhhhh, get it done Phillies!!

Good to see this. I wouldn't rule out McGarry getting a shot next season at some point with the Phils. If Nola and Walker continue to suck, Ranger leaves, Wheeler is out then why not give him a shot.

Sadly I think Nola is now officially our worse pitcher

Well now that Romano is on IL and likely not coming back he is.

Maybe I should turn this off so they can comeback
