Big price but definitely worth it considering they drafted Gage wood who likely slots in for Abel now. Plus Abel has had control issues previous years and even this year like you saw with the PhilliesThe biggest concern out of this trade is the Phillies have nothing in terms of prospects at the catcher position. So you definitely are going to have to re-sign Realmuto for at least two years.

We seen what he can do and he struggles with command so this isn’t a huge loss at all. Tait we don’t know yet could be another OHoppe or Pudge Rodríguez for all we know but not giving up our top prospect for a reliever is a win

Because there were like two good catching prospects still available when they were on the clock.

Wood doesn’t have control issues. It’s more does he hold up and we need to get him another pitch to go with what he already has.
