I’d only deal Crawford cause i think Crawford end game is essentially what Kwan isThanks. I don't know much about MLB prospects but I figured Crawford would be blocked if they got Kwan and I don't know if Crawford is good enough to be the center piece in a trade. Also I wouldn't want to give up Painter.

However they were willing to cause Duran is under contract for 2 more years and 27. They really have nothing in the catcher pipeline now. So I’d expect them do draft a catcher early next year

July 31, 2025Jul 31 8m agoKen RosenthalSenior Writer, MLBLatest on Griffin Jax, Steven KwanThe Toronto Blue Jays continue to talk to the Minnesota Twins about reliever Griffin Jax and the Cleveland Guardians about outfielder Steven Kwan, according to sources briefed on the discussions.Neither player is seen as particularly likely to be traded. The Los Angeles Dodgers also are talking to the Guardians about Kwan, but consider a trade for him a longshot.Earlier in the day, a Twins official acknowledged increased activity on Jax, but expressed skepticism a team would meet the threshold necessary to acquire him.
July 31, 2025Jul 31 This is a big if but......let's assume Nola comes back and is himself.....Now you have Sanchez, Wheeler and Nola as your 1-3 and Ranger as your #4 (if needed). With Lazardo being able to go to the bullpen in the playoffs. And if they do bring Painter up, I say put him in the bullpen too! Bullpen of Lazardo, Painter, Strahm, Keirkering, Duran, Robertson and maybe Robert (while ol' yeller'ing everyone else!!) Pitching wise, I think they'll be in great shape. Now the lineup.....Turner, Harper, Schwarber, Casty, Bohm, Bader, JT, Stott and Crawford/Marsh (LF). That line up definitely looks a tad different than the crap they tried rolling out yesterday.LA is a beast but struggling and their pitching really doesn't impress me. The Mets....I'm still not sold on them. The Cubs....see comments on the Mets. The two biggest issues in the NL are the Brewers and the Padres in my opinion. Hopefully, the way the seeding ends up....the Phillies would only have to play one of them.

July 31, 2025Jul 31 1 good splash and that was it. Pretty much what I expected. This team is going nowhere and it’ll only get worse next year
July 31, 2025Jul 31 Ok now here’s the real question. They are going to make the playoffs. Let’s say they go to the playoffs, win 1 series, and then quietly bow out. What the hell do you do then? Sign Schwarber to more money while he’s a year older, bring up Painter as your 3, lose Ranger, put Crawford in CF, and watch the Harper/Schwarber/Turner/Castellanos/Realmuto nucleus get 1 year older and worse? What’s the point of running that back? Now that team may not make the playoffs in ‘26.
July 31, 2025Jul 31 I'm really looking forward to seeing this lineup fall on their faces again in the playoffs and not even have a chance to use Duran. And then have Dave Dombrowski talk down to us in cleanout day about how they didn't get the right bounces and they hit some balls hard and how their chase rate improved from last year's playoffs.... and then proceed to do jack crap again in another offseason.
