Also doesn’t help pitchers forgetting bags behind the mound and other pitchers picking them up and giving them to the bat boy or girardi to take into the dugout.

Yep. They should’ve had a deal in place when they made that trade knowing you only had two years left arbitration. Knowing that just overpay anyways cause you’re gonna have to overpay if you waited so what was the difference. If you would give them a six-year contract at 28 and just gave him the money that was fair and he wanted I think he would’ve signed. NowYep. Now you are Competing with FA and someone will overpay him at 30 where the last two years likely he’s not the same player.

Honestly the Mets being that high is a joke. Their bullpen still stinks and they lost wheeler and syndergaard for the year. Unless degrom is starting all 60 games the rest of their rotation might actually be worse than the Phillies.
