Wheeler is going to go on a 2 week IL stint. He’s missing spots and velocity is down. His cy young chances are over anyway so might as well let him get 2 weeks off in hopes he can get back to where we need him.

The time to do it is right now. You could give him two weeks off if you do it after today. They got seven of their next 13 games against the nationals. We should be able to maintain a lead in the NL East and give him that time off. And you can bring him back for that Met series in New York.

Whereas marsh still can’t hit left-handed pitching consistently. When you look more into it marsh for his time with the Phillies is at 81% of his plate appearance against right handed pitching. Furthermore, since he’s come back on May 1, marsh is all the way down to 17.5% of his plate appearances against left-handed pitching which would be a career low. It’s be a better comp if marsh was going this against RHP and LHP like victroino. Instead they are basically sitting him or pulling him when a LHP is on the mound.

It’s gonna be huge to whoever gets the 2 seed this year. It’s likely coming down to us and the dodgers. I’m not sure anyone catches the brewers unless they go into a big slump. Which doesn’t seem like it’s happening
