So apparantly the kid lied about his age and he's 17 instead of 16. The Padres rescinded their offer and the Phillies swooped in and signed him.

Ugh here we go giving a bunch of money to an aging player again.

We’ve had good luck with pitchers named Sanchez

Any chance they actually score a run tonight? Actually they'll probably score 15 runs tonight since they just put up 1 and 0 the last two games then put up another 1 and 0 the next two.

Good chance we score 1-2 tonight

I really hate that Nick struggles so mightily for long periods, because he seems like a good, team, guy who's a very effective sparkplug when he gets hot.

This team is not good enough. This nationals team is awful and we can’t hit their awful pitching. I’m tired of fans on Twitter saying that’s baseball. It’s not they just aren’t a good enough offensive team

The old excuses of "that’s baseball” just tells me this team lacks heart and the urge to want it more. The lackadaisical effort of just going out there to play the game and see what happens tonight is why they’ll never win it all. The oh well attitude and lack of emotion towards winning and wanting to be better says it all about this team. They’re just whatever at this point and it’s why we get the same results year after year. Nothings changed it’s so plain

He isn't a team guy at all

I don’t know about that, but Castellanos has been the worst every day player in Major league baseball since July 1. At this point you gotta go with the assumption he’s not turning it around anytime soon because now we’re a month and a half. This is exactly what happens with marsh last year from July onward. You really should be calling up Justin Crawford, letting him play every day. Then go with a platoon of marsh/Bader And Castellanos/kepler. And just go with it.

I thought part of that blow up this season was because Nick doesn't like hitting down in the lineup? Especially when he is hitting like sheet. I may have misunderstood the situation

It was partially that that he didn’t like, but that’s not what made it blow up. The blowup was he didn’t like being removed from the game in a late game situation because his defense sucks. There’s part of me that likes it because you want your guys to want to play every game in every inning. But then there’s the other part where Your team knows you stink defensively and if they can get a better defender in there so they can win in games late you should be OK with it. You should understand you suck as a defender. It’s shouldn’t be a shock to him. He is one of the worst builders in the entire league. After that happened I guess he said something to Thomson and it didn’t go well. It h one way or the other o think he’s gone at the end of the year

Sosa bunting with a 3-1 count and the pitch was a ball. Lol

That's what I thought it was. I get why you like it but, doesn't necessarily make him a team guy either

Idk his teammates all love him and he’s had other moments that have shown to be a good teammate. It’s why i wouldn’t just say he’s not a team guy. The bigger issue is he just sucks

Finally.......... been looking forward to taking my anxiety meds of winter as opposed to my blood pressure meds of summer.

Phillies started: 35-19

Phillies since: 34-33 (that would be 41% of a season)

Starting to look eerily similar to last year where they started 45-19 and finished 51-51
