August 22, 2025Aug 22 New bat placement and stance for Stott working. Frankly they should’ve done this after his year last year and not waited another 4 months into the season to do so. Tbh this is why i said if he leaves Philly and gets a hitting coach to work with him i think he’d actually be better there.

August 23, 2025Aug 23 When you look at the way the Phillies got to being 20 games over .500 it’s interesting. they are really good vs the AL (outside of the white Sox and angels). Their record is 27-15 overall. Against current AL playoff teams they are 13-8. Against the NL they are 47-39. Overall good. they are 7-0 vs. the Rockies and just 40-39 vs. the rest of the NL. With a 14-12 record against the likes of the nationals, Braves and pirates who are the 3 worst teams in the NL after the Rockies. Then against current NL playoff field they are 11-13 with 13 more games to go against dodgers, brewers and Mets. if you include the reds who are just behind the Mets, it’s 14-16.

I’d have liked to see him go into the 6th at 79 pitches so we didn’t have to rely on the bullpen for 4 innings and he found a groove the last 2 innings. With Alvarado back it makes it more doable but in the playoffs you won’t have Alvarado for that. Issue last night was Duran got hit, JT made a poor throw to 3rd and the offense early in the game left guys stranded like they tend to do. Add on against a bad Nats bullpen they managed to score just 1 run
