Duran is making me nervous now lol. Good to see Nola get his velocity back hopefully he can build off of this

I’d be more concerned with Duran if he was getting hit hard. A lot of these balls are not hard hit. Analytics BaBIP have shown the last two nights that some of these are fluke type hits. I’m more concerned with the fact the Phillies can’t take advantage of a bad bullpen. You’re eventually gonna have to hit good starters and good bullpens. the nationals are one of the worst in the league and the last two nights the Phillies have scored 1 run in 6 IP against them.

Brewers lose … now only 4 games ahead of the Phils in the loss column. It would be great if they were less than 3 ahead when the September 1-3 series with the Phils begins in Milwaukee.

Off a down year they might be selling at a low. Then again the catcher FA market is JT and hats it

What happened to Schmidt? they fire him? Hamels is terrible too though

Phillies are goign to end up overpaying for Realmuto because of past mistakes not drafting a good catcher

I was really hoping they’d draft a catcher this year where they were picking in the first round. There was actually two good ones and both weren’t light years away from the majors as they were college guys. However i understand taking wood. Even more now we wheeler situation it might ultimately benefit them more.

Brewers still 5 games ahead in loss column. Curious to see how we look and matchup with brewers and dodgers in September. Dodgers finally have their rotation back but their bullpen isn’t as good as years past and their lineup isn’t as potent.

I’m guessing this was a response to Lenny dykstra‘S tweet

Great job drafting our future catcher Marchan !!

Marchan actually did something great

0-3 with bases loaded and a walk. Frankly Stott’s fly ball scores a run if Bohm isn’t slow as crap. Marchan is our best player today

I kind of have the feeling they’re gonna bring him along slowly to start next year. We might not see Wheeler until June. That would be just after the eight month mark of end of April or beginning of May. We also don’t necessarily know how he is going to look after having all this. So I thinking out loud, Ranger Suarez becomes more important to try to bring back especially if he’s gonna pitch like he has past two games. I’m not sure you can just trust Walker to be what he is this year and I have a feeling they’re gonna try to trade him anyways. Painter you’re hoping becomes what you think. Wood is likely not going to be ready for another year. Nola is hit or miss this year so that’s also a question of what he’s going to be going forward. You kind of have a need for Ranger Suarez based off what’s happening with Wheeler.

Walker has been fine as a 5th starter this year. Surprising but that's how it has gone down.

Gotta pull Ranger at the right point in this inning.

Ranger excellent today
