Tbh don’t mind going Robertson in the 8th with the amount of RH hitters the marlins had coming up. That said strahm should’ve been used in the 10th not Kerkering. Apparently strahm was warming up prior to the rain delay then rain delay hit. So wondering if because he warmed up then sat if they didn’t want to potentially have him warmup again and hurt himself

One to go and our spot will be locked in as #2 seed. Can't complain overall about the regular season. This will likely be the last Red October shot for this core group of Phillies.

Issue with Robertson has been Thomson using him on back to back nights. He’s 40 now and couldn’t do it a couple years ago. So not sure why Thomson thinks he’ll be more effective at 40 doing it. Robertson’s other issue lately is keeping the ball in the park. Given up 3 HRs in his last 5 appearances

Duran probably needs rest but he also needs to quit shaking off realmuto. Feels like every time he does then something goes wrong.

Like you said Kerkering is a head case. I’ve said the same thing. There’s times where he’s good but he also has stretches where he can’t find the zone and implodes. And it’s far too frequent. Right now he looks like he has no confidence. He also looks a little out of shape. He has been the latter for 2 months now. Imo can’t have him be a vital part of the pen next year. He can be your 5-6th guy. But he’s shown this year he’s not reliable enough to be a main cog

Kyle would have to be the last out of the inning otherwise position player has to face minimum of 3 hitters if it’s the start of the inning.

Yes exactly what I meant. Especially with runners on in scoring position and they throw in a position player and Kyle just pisses himself
