UJD would smoke Bohm wouldn’t even be close. Bohm can’t run 20mph

Yeah but the only straight line running is home to first and third to homr. Bohm might round the bases better.

Phillies been awful with risp since last Friday.

Saturday at dbacks: 0-5

Sunday at dbacks: 1-14

Tuesday vs. marlins: 3-15

Wednesday vs. marlins: 1-7

Thursday vs. marlins: 0-10

Today: 0-4

5-55 (.090)

They should do more collabs that would be nice. It be fun to see

Mets being down 6-2 to the marlins is hilarious

Who had Nola pitching 8 innings and only giving up 2 hits on their bingo card today?

Not me. But it’s also the twins but it’s a start

It’s great to see but for this to be his first time doing that this season says it all. Can he do this again in the playoffs? I’m not so sure but can he even give us 6 scoreless or 1 run ball? That would help tremendously but it’s hard to count on him to do that

Duran seems like he might be fatigued.

I’m hoping he can give 2-3 innings of no runs. I’d be happy with that.

Just saying if the Phillies sweep the twins and reds sweep the brewers we can get the 1 seed

Clearly Joel Embiid comes on here and reads Phillies thread

Interesting discussion about Nola from the Comcast SN postgame crew. Worth a watch. They share their thoughts about why.

I think his ability to hit 95 last night is cause he had time off so he’s a lot fresher than a lot of the other guys. So I’m not really surprised his velocity was good. However, the difference between last night and his other games, he didn’t have the implosion ending. To me, Aaron nola‘s issue has always been a mental rather than a physical issue. Now he’s had some games lower velocity but it’s also always come back to the 93-95 range. He isn’t luzardo and Duran with just 98-100 mph stuff. just keeping you all balance.

The issue becomes when is the implosion coming. And last night it didn’t come. If you look at his starts, it’s like every two starts he implodes then third he’s relatively fine. It’s gone implosion inning vs Nats, no implosion vs. Nats, implosion innings vs. Atlanta and Milwaukee, no implosion inning vs. Mets, implosion innings vs. KC and Az and finally no implosion inning vs. twins. I think that is more of a mental thing where if things start not going well that it just unravels and it is an implosion. I also think because he knew the twins were a bad hitting team gives him more confidence that he can get those guys out routinely. Also the fact that there was less pressure in that game, cause the Phillies really have a very, very very slim chance of getting the 1 seed there wasn’t a whole lot of stake. So he dint have to go out there with a ton of pressure. Can say the pressure of trying to be a starter in the postseason, but I think the Phillies have already made their decision of what they want to do. So I don’t think him pitching really well or if you would’ve pitched horribly would’ve changed much either way.

F that loser

If you have hopes for the one seed, then you really have to hope the Mets and the Reds win today. If the Reds win and the Mets lose, then the Mets are eliminated, which means the Reds have nothing to play for tomorrow against the Brewers. And you need the Brewers to get swept by the reds in order to get the chance at the one seed. So if the Mets and the Reds win today, then the Reds and the Mets both have something to play for on Sunday. thus giving us a chance at the 1 seed

Shame we lost today or Tuesday cause would be tied with the brewers if we didn’t with a chance at the 1 seed. But this offense outside of the game 2 beat down if Miami has been terrible since the second game against the dbacks. They are also 5 for their last 58 with RISP (.086)
