It wasn't about pitch count. It was they had seen him multiple times and even in the low 70s pitches, and even though he had retired a ton of them in a row, they couldn't have had the same velocity. I didn't want them seeing him another time. That's when I would have thrown Ranger in fresh. Every run was going to matter at that point. You know more than I do but that's how I look at things. Make moves in 0-0 games before the wheels come off.

The real issue is ranger’s numbers against the dodgers aren’t good. If you are going to be successful can’t be throwing 89-91 in the zone against them or expecting them to chase.

Being better than Girardi for this team is not a lifetime contract.

So should be hitting 4 and 5. Marsh is better lower in the order based off year long stats
