October 29, 2025Oct 29 I loved Adell last year at the deadline. I think if he plays like he did in 2025 then he can be a cleanup hitter. However also somewhat skeptical he does it again and i think the angels are going to ask for more than what you want to give up

I said before the playoffs they’re gonna have to win by starters going 7 innings every night and just hoping they can get two innings out of their bullpen. Frankly, I also think the Blue Jays pitching is pretty average on the season (believe they were close to 20th). But they’ve had guys step up starting from game 3 of the alcs (outside of game 5 of alcs)
October 30, 2025Oct 30 Only downside to dodgers losing this is that you know they are going to sign Tucker and maybe even go after Bregman. Defer those contracts then sign 2-3 of best RPs in baseball in FA. Granted a chance they’d have done this anyway

Neither is Castellanos.frankly all of those guys are 5-7 type of guys in a lineup.Schwarber moves to the 4 hole now you have an issue atop of the lineup in the 2 hole. So now you are creating another issue. Add on moving Bohm/bader/marsh/stott as they aren’t top of the lineup guys. Bader did it for a while then tailed off like Stott did and then found himself again when he was moved back down. Also if move Rh to 2 hole you’ve created RRLL. If it’s LH then RLLL. Makes it easier in the playoffs to matchup with bullpen arms.Move Harper to 4th clears up left and righty issue. but none of those guys are protecting Harper. So now got an issue in front of Harper in terms of protection and behind him in terms of protection. Also get less at bats for schwarber and Harper moving them down. It’s why Ohtani bats 1st in that lineup the dodgers have. Also neither of them are a RH bat with power which they’ve badly needed.Add on it’s been reported that Dombrowski works with Thomson as a group on what they want the lineup to be. So it is not all Thomson. It’s a collaborative group think. It’s how they got to Castellanos sitting more. That wasn’t and lineup isn’t strictly Thomson, matt gelb has reported this.Also I’ve mentioned this for 3 years, they let hoskins a right handed power hitter to walk and never adequately replaced him. Turner wasn’t supposed to replace hoskins. He was an add on to make the lineup deeper. And this isn’t oh Rhys was saving them. But they never actually replaced him. Just assumed jt, casty and Bohm would be enough. And went bargain bin hunting with Castro, Hayes, Merrifield and Kepler. Bohm never had the type of power hoskins did or guys like Castellanos and Jt declined in that area as they were aging.during the season they were 20th in OPS out of cleanup. If you move schwarber there or harper from 3 to 4 now your 2 hole or 3 hole (depending on which you want to do) has the same problem and seeing more at bats in average. Call it cleanup or call it top 4 hitter in that lineup. Either way it is MISSING. It’s a problem that boras Harper’s agent has stated already this offseason, zolecki/amaro/gelb and almost everyone who’s covered the team has stated and opposing scouts have stated about them. Moving schwarber or harper into the cleanup does not solve the problem it creates one at a different spot either 2 or 3 hole in the lineup. They’ve lacked a 4th big time hitter (RH) in their lineup for 3 years which with how they set the lineup is ideally cleanup.
October 30, 2025Oct 30 Angels make a lot of sense as they need a 3b and might be able to somehow get Taylor Ward who’s on the last year of his deal. Probably need more than Bohm tho. Or could try for Adell but likely have to include multiple prospects
