Tha said really should keep both as alavardo is a major question mark. He was bad in 2024 after they went to London. Got suspended last year but he was good to start then once again bad when he came back and got hurt.
December 18, 2025Dec 18 Guess my dream of Bo Bichette coming here is shot to hell. That's ok though. We get to have another season with Bohm batting cleanup and watching the awesome duo of Weston Wilson and Otto Kemp. What a joke.

Hell, I would have been fine not bringing back Schwarber and gotten Bichette instead.
December 19, 2025Dec 19 The entire foundation of the team is at the point in their career where they are in a reliable, linear decline.Harper, Wheeler, Realmuto (they will re-sign him), Schwarber (especially Schwarber), and Turner are the foundation of this team and are at the age where year-over-year decline is the expectation. Every one of them will likely be diminished from last season. No single big ticket addition could offset the decline they will get from this foundation from 2025 to 2026.Ranger will leave and Painter likely represents a downgrade in the rotation (just reference what he did in AAA last year).Bohm, Stott, and Marsh are firmly in the "they are what they are camp.”This will be a significantly regressed team next season. It was unavoidable. 2026 was always going to be the year that time destroyed the roster. I know some of you said this could be avoided if they added a big bat…well, that’s not happening. I’d be genuinely shocked if they make the playoffs.

That’s around $70 million coming off the books next season, which of course will likely be eaten into by a Luzardo extension, which I hope they can get done this offseason.
December 19, 2025Dec 19 Strahm traded to KC for a rightie reliever in return. Interesting. Just Banks and Alvarado as the only lefties.

Also probably rubbed Dombrowski the wrong way when strahm took shots at the organization and their practice tactics and Dombrowski took a shot back at the end of the season presser
December 19, 2025Dec 19 I like the Bowlan trade quite a bit as a cheap, controllable reliever with some upside. Strahm was not going to return after this season.
