Also why the F are they sitting Crawford and Stott already? I realize they are facing a lefty but, Marsh is out there who has proven to be absolutely useless against lefties. Crawford should be given the chance to to play against lefties until proven otherwise. Stott who has been hitting really well since the end of last season should also be given the chance to hit against lefties again since he has been hitting well.

I would really like to see this team under Mattingly for the whole season. Im tired of Thomson's bs decision making.

Anyone notice how the Nats are approaching their at-bats? Any of them swinging for the fences? Nah. They are hitting the ball where it's pitched which generated them their 5 runs. Our team will just go up and swing for the fences while generating nothing.

Fist of all, it’s early. Really early. But a lot of these discussion points are things that could have been identified in the offseason from trends across all of 2025 and 2024…not 4 games this year.

The lineup is in an irreversible regression due to the age of their premium bats. No one ever should have assumed or hoped for otherwise.

Sanchez is an ace. Luzardo has high highs and low lows. There’s a reason he wasn’t even locked into the postseason rotation last year. And now he’s the #2 on a team that needs to be carried by the rotation. Wheeler is help on the way, but we truly don’t know for sure how much we are getting from him or for how long. Nola is useless. And Painter has a ton to prove.

Nothing else to the whole story. They need to rebuild. And because they can’t draft and develop, they need to slash salary so they can buy a new middle of the order.

Meanwhile, Romano has pitched 2 innings and has 3 Ks and a save for the Angels

Come on Painter at least give us some hope for the future
