So this Marlins' SP, Alcantara, had a 3.88 ERA and 1.32 WHIP last year.  Not terrible, but alas as the Phightins are prone to do they make an average P look like an All-Star.

And yeah, @e-a-g-l-e-s eagles!, Harper's cleats do look like they were designed by Elton John.  If they made these and sold them online they'd sell an ish load would be my guess.

EDIT:  I'm behind on my stream.  Everybody Didi hits!

Not making him really work. He has 65 pitches through five. That means he’s throwing on average 13 pitches per inning. At this rate he’s going to make it through 8 easily

Does anyone know if fans were down there tailgating before the game. I know they showed some people by the CF gate looking in, and if there was tailgaters, I doubt the broadcast would mention it, because of the social distancing thing.

This game..ughhh....

2 runs with how awful the offense has looked so far tonight might be enough for the marlins.

Ah, ish.  Curveball that was more on the plate than off it.  FORE!

Nola's on BB and it came back to bite him in the arse.

Let's ask the fans behind home plate.  :P

This game isnt on Nola. He battled, the bats need to wake up.

Idk this inning was all him not getting the ball where it should be. Both balls were hit hard cause he left it way too over the plate from where Realmuto set up. Don’t get me wrong 3 runs Given up isn’t the end of the world and we need more than 1 run.

And the bullpen still sucks....

Daggers. 😔

This relief pitcher needs more time in AAA.

Yea he battled.  You don’t want the best thing you can say about your ace to be "he battled.”  Nola isn’t a #1...last year showed that.

To be a #1 with his stuff, you need flawless location.  His 4 ER tonight are evidence that it’s not flawless.

More like the California Penial League....smh

Can a team be eliminated from the postseason on Opening Day?

He’s got the heat, but you can see the lack of control in his arm action before the ball even leaves his hand.  He clearly isn’t ready to graduate AAA.  But there is potential.

Well if the Phillies do falter and fail to make the playoffs at least klentak will get canned.

If this was game 1 of 162, I wouldnt mind, but its game 1 of 60, with a stacked slate against the NL and AL East.

At least Kapler is gone <_<

Isn't that where Ricky Vaughn honed his skills?

At least Roman didn’t get hurt after slipping.

That slip on the grass, pretty much sums up this game.

If they want the crowd noise to be accurate they would pump in boos but I doubt they ever will
