September 17, 20205 yr Once again Girardi pulls his starting pitcher for i guess "matchup" purposes and once again he gets burned. No reason not to let Wheeler finish the 8th inning. Not impressed with a lot of Joe's moves this year.
September 17, 20205 yr The Phillies will put this off til spring training. He will need surgery. and then he’ll be out all of 2021

Yeah he should do it now, be ready for spring training.
September 17, 20205 yr I've been out of the loop for a while now. How exactly did Hoskins get injured? How long ago?

During the marlins series Realmuto fielded a bunt. He made a really bad throw. he should’ve just ate it. The wide throw had the runner run into hoskins extended arm.

Because Wheeler's finger was injured pulling his pants up, Hoskins was trying to help him and in pulling Wheeler's pants up, hurt his elbow and now need Tommy John surgery!!
September 17, 20205 yr Hoskins rehabbing through spring training...I bet he's going to start out next year on fire. Time to get Bohm on the juice in the weight room, put him at first full time, and just find a new 3rd baseman. Forget Hoskins ever existed.
September 17, 20205 yr Phils go down 3-0 in first, then back, to back, to back homers by Harper, Bohm, and Didi.

September 18, 20205 yr Eh, only up by 3 runs. The O needs to hang at least a 10 spot on the board for a chance to not have the BP blow it again. Bohm has 20 RBIs already, only 4 less than Harper.

September 18, 20205 yr And tied up. Though most of that is on Nola right now. He's not a #1 SP. He's a #2 at best. He has too many clunkers like this to be a #1. Sure, every P has a bad game here and there, but this is at least his 3rd in this shortened season. Over the course of a regular season that'd be like 8-9 ishy outings for an 'ace'. And, the O has now gone to sleep after beating up on the SP for 2 innings. Only 1 hit in the last 4 innings. Don't they know they need to score 10 runs/game to have a chance to win?

Nola is a #2 on a team with championship aspirations and a really good lineup. He's a #1 on a mediocre team, as he is here.
September 18, 20205 yr I know I’m supposed to be cheering for the Phillies To make the playoffs. But I almost want them not to because then it falls straight up at the feet of klentak and McPhail. Like it might be the only way to get those two idiots fired is to miss the playoffs with an 8 team playoff
