How hembree has made it this far is miraculous to me.

I understand this season is a universal DH, but why aren’t the Phillies just letting a pitcher hit in Kingery’s spot?  It’s not even as though he’s a solid defensive player.  
 

I don’t think I’ve ever despised a Phillies player as much.  The guy is a utility infielder at best.  He’s going to have to pull something out of a bag of tricks to lift his average over .150 by the end of the season.

I guess the bright spot is he doesn’t make nearly as much money as Chris Davis ....

Quinn got tossed?  Checked the boxscore and saw Moniak replaced Quinn and just figured the grass wasn't cut perfectly even and there was 1 single blade longer than the rest and Quinn tripped over it and got hurt.  This lineup looks like Spring Training SS team.

Cause the track record of success trading or signing bullpen arms has been good? Literally Alvarez is the only FA or trade that’s worked for  them doing that route.

I can't believe that it's gotten to this point, but this will be one of the biggest travesties that I can remember.  What a freaking waste.  Reggie White comes to mind, Barkley, Dawkins even though he was in the twilight of his career.  But this guy is the best catcher in baseball in the prime of his career and they gave up valuable assets for him.  It makes absolutely no sense to me.

Middleton is Cheap so he won’t go into the luxury tax and klentak is a moron.

F that.  There's no salary cap here.  Middleton needs to act like he lives in a big boy city and spend whatever is necessary.  For some reason I thought they were ranked lower in salary for 2020, but it looks like they're 6th in payroll in the beginning of 2020.

I mean I’m glad. They’d get smoked by whoever they play especially with the injuries they had. I’m fully expecting them to dilly dally around with hoskins and he has Tommy John like next March. 

Anyone outside of the Philly area have Spectrum?  It's the worst by the way, so don't ever get it.  I didn't get the MLB package this year, but there were still a ton of Phillies games on this season on FX1, ESPN, ESPN2, and a few others.  For some reason, living in Charlotte, we have a Fox channel that shows every Reds game.  Lucky me.  

However, MLB network has showed Phillies games on their guide at least 4 different times in the last week, and the game is never on.  Instead, they're all in their little tiny baseball studio showing random highlights for about 15 seconds at a time.  In fact, the Phillies are supposed to be on MLB network right now.  It's BS.

Well Arrieta, Robertson, and Hunter's contracts all expire at the end of this season so really, there is no excuse.

This franchise has turned into a complete train wreck.

I would never cheer for the Phillies to miss the playoffs, but if they somehow get in this year, I could see Middleton and/or Klentak/McFail viewing the season as a huge success.  Then they extend Klentak again, let Realmuto walk, and tell us that the bullpen is fine as long as it’s a 162 game season.

he should have been fired before he hired gabe because he hired a rookie manager and screwed up all the prospects. it seems like the flyers are the only team that actually gets it, no panic moves, just hire a great coach and some additions. heck if the sixers did it too without destroying the assets we probably be winning championships.

Well it was an interesting season for sure. We have some horrible contracts coming off the books, I'm excited about next year assuming they resign JT and Didi. If they do not resign JT and Didi we are in for a long season next year most likely. Bohm being good really makes this lineup formidable. You would think the bullpen and pitching next year would have to be better just by the law of averages and how bad it was this year.

Do you know what’s more embarrassing than anything, the Marlins we’re not even trying to make the playoffs this year they were rebuilding and don’t even care if they win and yet somehow they made the playoffs before the Phillies

You know how many series the rays have lost at home during this seasons? 0. Phillies basically would need the marlins to lose all 4 games they have left and beat the rays at least once. Or win 2 of 3 vs. the rays and marlins lose 3 of 4. Or hope the padres with nothing really to play as they clinched a playoff spot and can’t win their division sweeps the giants or takes 3 of 4. 

Just remember that the Marlins have made the playoffs twice ever, and have won the World Series both times they made the playoffs.  The Marlins have also never won the division.

I see the Rays are only two games up on the Twins.  They haven’t clinched 1st yet...
