They should have done alternating episodes.

Killed off 3 of Abby’s people. Tv audience aren’t going to care. Doing a flashback to give the connection seems like a really bad choice. Not sure why the creator signed off on this

Unsatisfying ending for sure, but probably the most realistic outcome to the immature, non-stop, emotionally driven stupidity.

S1 was a mid zombie show in most respects, way below lesser known ones like Black Summer, but the Pascal/Ramsey dynamic and some superb stand alone episodes gave it a passing grade. S2 has neither of those elements and I'm doubting I get to the finish line.

It’s exactly how the game plays out so I’m not surprised the creator did it. They will do minor changes here and there but everything has been pretty par the course.

The biggest thing to me so far in season 2 is they have no idea what they want Ellie to be. Some scenes she’s a straight up idiot. Some scenes she’s making puns or stupid faces and just acting goofy a few days after her father figures death. Some scenes she has those stupid "I’m gonna be a dad!” random reactions that make no sense in the context of the plot of her and Dina only kissed and haven’t even had sex yet. It just complicates the issue when you see her question Nora and start randomly acting brutal.

Game had you play Ellie for a little bit and then Abby and would switch. Alternating episodes would be the most logical way to replicate that story

Bella can't carry the show. It's pretty obvious now that they should have recasted Ellie

They also skipped over Alice. Plus the scene with Ellie going to the island only to be let go made zero sense. The Seraphites actually let her go because of a horn? BS. They rushed the hell out of Ellie only to not give Abby's POV and they're now going to cover all of Abby's viewpoint through flashbacks. Audience already knows 3 of Abby's key people are going to die. There's no way they connect with Mel, Nora, and Owen

Also the amount of infect overall throughout the season has been so low except for those few scenes where they just throw out a humongous group like the horde at Jackson and the bloater (that doesn't have a ranged attack for some reason)

Last of us part 1 remastered ended up on the monthly free games during season 1. I wonder if part 2 will be too. This crap definitely makes me want to replay the game for the millionth time to get a proper story

I just played the game again a few months ago. You are Ellie all the way through the minor Abby friends death, Nora, Mel and Owen’s death. Abby is absent the entire time and only shows up at the theater to kill Jessie and then it switches to her perspective from a few days ago. You only go back to Ellie when you fight the Rattlers at the resort who are holding Abby prisoner at that point.

The only alternating was the very beginning before Abby found Joel.
