I’m not as sophisticated and progressive as @paco, but that seems like a backwards way of thinking. If the carbon footprint to produce a Mach-E and a standard gas vehicle is nearly the same. The Mach-E footprint basically stops after production, while the footprint of a gasoline vehicle continues to grow every mile you drive. Why would you have to drive 80-90k miles to offset?

The amount of effort it takes to build the batteries is insane. Add in the extra wear on the tires for EVs and it adds up quick. I do think I was off a little though. It’s around that range to have a better carbon footprint than an ICE.
