One of many.

Yep.

I wouldn't trade SB52 for anything, but it's pretty clear that the "Super Bowl contender" window has slammed shut. The organization has done a mediocre to poor job at evaluating talent which becomes magnified by the looming cap hell issues. It's time for a reset. To be honest, there isn't a single person on the roster that I would consider "un-tradable."

Absolutely. I wouldn’t trade LII either. But I think anyone honest with themselves knows Howie’s role...and he deserves his share of credit...was hitting every FA signing out of the park, Warmack aside. It’s not a sustainable way to compete.

F’n false. And before I get into a hundred reasons why, save me the effort and explain why you think he knows how to manage a cap

Well now that I'm thinking about it, I wasn't factoring in the next couple of years.  Though he has always figured out ways to solve those problems in the past.

Sorry for the angry sounding post.  Rough weekend, eagles suck and wine was delicious.

Anwyay, he has us in a position where we need to constantly restructure our players just to get under the cap.  When you do that, you end up with a very top heavy team.  You commit a TON of space to a small group of players.  If any of them go down, you have scrubs backing them up.  We are seeing that this season at several positions (WR minus Ward, CB, LB, Oline, etc).  Furthermore, we can no longer sign players to fill in holes created by poor drafting.  And if we do, then we are forced to extend and restructure players we should be cutting loose.

Also, I did some digging into his "cap wizardry" of creating fake years in contracts to spread out the hit over several years.  In 2022, assuming no cuts\restructures\ etc, we will have a 45 million dollar dead cap hit for players no longer on the team.  If you care, I wrote about it here.

You mean the day when Howie spends a top 5 pick on a 200LB OT who misses the first three weeks of the 2021 season with kidney stones?

I mean Fing hell

And I'm all for the tank for Gregory Rousseau

I'll be sheetfaced by the end of the first quarter.

im planning on going fishing every sunday going forward.

I mean the injuries are basically comical at this point - I challenge any fanbase to find a multiyear run of injuries that their team has encountered that is worse than what we've had the past 4-5 years

Apparently the Vikings have shut down their training facilities too.

They're likely just trying to wash the Kirk Cousins stank out of the place, or it could be Covid related. 🤷‍♂️

So we can cancel this season now, right?

I was under the impression the Eagles already had, based on how they've played these first 3 weeks

Makes sense.  If they played the Titans there is a good chance some of their players caught it.

Dude, why are you choosing to punish yourself? Wasn't watching the Eagles games already punishment enough?
