The right lives in a pretend world where we're constantly going bankrupt but only when there's a Democratic President but magically not when a Republican President is increasing the debt by $8T and personally signing direct payments to every American. The only reason they even bring up the whole "we can't afford to bankroll Ukraine" argument is because they're too chicken sheet to outright say they're hoping Russia rolls through Ukraine. Abra's a **** but at least he's not afraid to say what Kz, Zucker, Procus, etc. are actually thinking. The public at large has been played for the fool in this conflict in large part. At the end of the day, in our neck of the woods, these wars are fueled by $$$, and lots of it. Reports are that a lot of the weaponry for which funds were earmarked were transferred to Baltic state NATO members, who in turn transferred their old, crappy weapons to Ukraine. Don't think for a second that financial interests in the military-industrial complex aren't behind the big push to spend money on the Ukrainian conflict. These interests are making a bundle and have considerable influence over decision makers in Washington. They couldn't care less about Ukrainians or Russians. They do, however, care a lot about money.

This thread is about the attempts of the current govt to change the Israeli governmental power structures and to remove any form of checks and balances of power in the country and to do that without a proper level of debate, discussion, etc. It isn't about how Israel is dealing with attacks from groups in Gaza or Lebanon.
